Maphack is insanely easy to detect. They're probably already banned or account details are being saved up for one big ban wave.

" I read some GGG quote somewhere (I think it was before they ever did any ban wave), and they specifically noted that they were not banning anyone yet and were just going to do it all at once (seems a bit strange at first, but it catches a lot of people off-guard and gives no one a chance to escape the wrath of GGG). I assume they would continue with the ban "waves" rather than maintain a steady stream of bans everyday. |

Yes GGG, ''fix people maphacking''. Hire psychologist and have them tell their sad children abuses.
Or ''fix maphacking''. One of the two. |

" If the server is already sending that data, it would actually be virtually impossible to detect. The only way they could detect it is if the maphack relies on moving the player around the area very quickly. But if the server is already sending the information for the 50 square foot area by the player (for example), there is really no way to detect if another program is also looking at that data and using it (short of scanning your computer for all currently running processes). " The reason they ban in waves is so the botters/hackers find it a lot more difficult to find a pattern in how GGG recognises hacking. "Minions of your minions are your minion's minions, not your minions." - Mark Last edited by ciknay#1000 on Jun 19, 2013, 4:32:44 PM
