Diablo 2 Style Hotkeys

It'd be cool if one day there were several different options for the way skills were handled. This would be cool to have but I always felt the D2 style was really inefficient. It's better to just make everything mappable to a gaming mouse. MOUSEWHEEL UP, MOUSEWHEEL DOWN, MOUSE 1, MOUSE 2, MOUSE 3, and the two side buttons on a gaming mouse would make for at least 6 abilities mapped to the mouse, plus the default attack.

old-ish post but was just wanting this. I find the hotkeys being directly under the potions makes it very difficult to use more than a couple skills regularly. Plus using alt to show items means I can't really have the hotkeys set up on functions keys (moving thumb off alt can make me lose hand position on keyboard!).
D2 system was great and I would lvoe if it was possible to do this in PoE. |
