Those questions have been answered a dozen times already. Honestly I am not surprised you have that amount of posts, its like talking to a wall. You apparently are some sort of ambitious troll who wants people to repeat themselves over and over again.

At least thats what it looks like to me.

I don't want or need you to repeat yourself on anything. I was just commenting on how you constantly repeat that the devs have abandoned their ideals which I think is a bad argument since your appealing to them instead of what you yourself think of the system.

What exactly does troll mean to you? I have legitimately responded to questions that you have asked and given my own opinion back as respectfully as I could. Is posting a lot considered trolling now?

I took the time to make somewhat of a lengthy post in the looting thread to try to explain why its wrong to tell people who don't like FFA that they just want an easier game and you just gave a short flippant response to one sentence and ignored my main point. That came across as trollish to me and is why I eventually have to give up on these discussions because I don't feel like people want to understand our point of view.

You do if another person convinces you or an event occurred that makes you change your opinion. No way in hell are you gonna wake up in the morning and just change anything in your life if you dont have a specific reason for it.

Sure, maybe their ideals and plans changed, just like that. But to be honest I think its way more realistic that they simply gave into the request of some players.

I think it's most probable that the heavy resistance to their ideas made them rethink and really question it. You know, what any rational person should do.

I just know partying got a whole lot more advantageous, and made the game a lot easier, a lot more faceroll. I am sorry, I just do not agree that the only point of playing an arpg is to sit at max level with the best gear in game. I get that is what the nu-diablo fans desire. But they have forsaken pretty much the entire game, to sit at the very end and play pixel-stock broker, buying low and selling high, feeding RMT sites for real money or forum gold. The play style was the motivating factor behind the auction house in diablo 3, and the motivating factor behind needing 'loot options'. It removes a large part of the gamesmanship (a dying idea) while playing PoE, and moves it to the auction house and trade chat. Path of Wall Street.
Hey...is this thing on?
To me, it's apparent that the hard-core fans that wanted a grueling experience weren't putting enough money on the table to keep food on the Developers plate; so they had to cater to a larger audience which is more than willing to actually spend money and continue PoE's funding.

Maybe. I dont think your regal pack is exactly setting them into the lap of luxury, but you may be right. I hope not, but I have no idea of their financials, I just know there are hard-core fans that have supported this game with a Lot of money, a lot more than either you or I.

Which is impossible to do. There are people who already spent more than a thounsand dollar on this game, but those will never make up for the thounsand players who only spend ten dollars.

As I stated earlier in this thread. If they made this change due to having financial problems they have my full support, but since I cant just assume that I will criticize them for changes like this one. Because the game is slowly turning into something I might not be interested in playing anymore in a couple of months, and by telling them that it bothers you that they are ignoring what they said just a couple months ago about how they picture their game to be played maybe that can be avoided (well or at least you can hope for it).

Personally I rarely saw people bitching in pub groups about someone snatching their loot. Sure, there were a few here and there, but it never felt like being a major problem to a wider audience. Pretty much why I personally dont understand this change.

Then again, maybe they are pushing the game in a specific direction because they want to make more money. Not because they cant sustain themselves, they simply want more. Higher wages, more employees, being able to stop working 60hours a week, who knows? It happened before.

I agree with pretty much all that! ARPGs are not about sitting at max level with one character with the best gear. Trading should barely exist. I am all for self found!
But that has nothing to do with the loot system. It's ridiculous to make that connection, your argument is a logical fallacy, deliberate or not.. If you truly believe that PA leads to that stuff then you can now finally relax, because it doesn't! You have been misinformed.

I can relate to that, I'm already in for $1600+ because this seemed to be the only game that had competition like D2 had and I really wanted to support that. Now they can make it like d3 and get your money too. Brilliant!
