Blacksmith needs to be changed ASAP. enough is enough

He is overpowered for sure and there's no balance.First it's a low lvl map,he's not supposed to be that hard.Same as Kole. You can't run away from him or kite him,you can't face him. There are few builds or imba fed characters that can stand him just like that.He needs a CD nerf on leap,or a bit dmg reduction when enraged,or both. Can't understand why ppl refuse to confess he's OP.
Don't get me wrong,I got absolutely no problems with him,I facetank him the way I do Kole, but I run a specific build and it's an exception. He is OP the way he is.

I haven't faced him myself, but a while back one of my chars ran a Flame Totem with Blind/Knockback/LMP that destroyed melee mobs. Like a Faster Attacks Goatmen couldn't even touch me if I stood next to it as they tried to leap at me.
just did him again with my LA marauder.

he IS quite easy to trick.

i think that if you intend to engange him you need some strategy to distract him then he is doable for anyone.

you have a 2nd slot for a reason.

still his damage and the lack of any visual warning about what you are going to face is dumb

flame totem + blind + knockback + GMP/LMP

talk about hilarious, the mobs won't even know what to do with themselves.

OP: try thinking outside the box, have a few skills/supports ready for situations in which you could get massively raped

Easy boss as a duelist - decoy totem - enfeeble ...
Enfeeble or Temp Chains, Decoy Totem helps.

Personally I have no problems but I am using a character with Immortal Call right now so I really don't have problems with most bosses lol. Not fair to make a comparison as such.
same with flicker strike, it's not necessarily the attack itself but the fact that they do it so many times in rapid succession. You can quicksilver and run the opposite direction and you'll still get wrecked by a flicker strike flickering on you 3+ times.
Posting a quick video of a lvl 66 Blacksmith kill in Dune (99% more damage as fire/ 36% bigger packs).

I play a Eldritch Battery Summoner Witch with 5 auras (Wrath, Vitality, Clarity, Discipline and Purity), 3 curses (Temporal Chains, Flammability and Elemental Weakness) and 3 Tentacule Miscreation supported by IIR, LMP, Faster Attacks and Minion Damage.

My zombies have 12k hp and my skeletons have 4k hp. None of my zombies and spectres die in the fight.I used 20 charges of potion (2 uses) in the second phase.

All you have to do for this fight is stand away and avoid his leap while your minions wreck him. Leap has a ground landing location compared to a targeting ability like Flicker Strike so moving in straight line will help you avoid it since he will cast leap on you but will land at the location you were when he cast. Unless you desync, lag or have a very low movement speed he should not hit you.
Standard Summoner lvl 83 @Xihxo - Always ready to help and have fun !

Blacksmith is currently a boss I enjoy, he needs further tuning though, even two of him couldn't keep me from bashing their faces in^^

GGG should further tune map bosses up, then release a unique map where you enter an arena and there are all bosses from the game and you have to defeat them all in a free for all (they obviously gang up on you) :D

The reward will be an effect you can apply onto your gear that gives you a regal golden shining aura declaring you the king over those baddies and giving you bragging rights xD
Unarmed for life! (although I do like maces too recently)

I have had pretty similar experience as an EB summoner as well. I'm not sure what the op is doing, but a skellie totem with fast cast (duh) alone seem to keep blacksmith busy while I spam arc to shock stack(doesnt really work in this case)/trigger EE and my sentinels rip him to pieces.

havent done a spider forest map since the buff yet though, have one with dual bosses, might give it a try for the lulz :p
