[0.11.0d] (Currently leveling on Onslaught) Lightning Arrow CI Shadow Build! CI/Ghost/Reflexes

HOW THE BUILD BECAME TO BE:
Hi, So I have been messing around with LA builds ever since the new patch came out.
My usual ranger build, was just not cutting it due to the HP nerf and I was getting destroyed in maps, and since I am on HC I was forced to not do any maps. It was pretty much that standard ranger LA build.

So I figured to try out a Templar LA, Got him to 58 and honestly it was a strong build, but I died due to a mistake of mine, so I figured since the early levels as a LA Templar are so slow and weak, I'd try to figure out a new build. That's how I came up with this shadow build.

BUILD LATE GAME:
Level 33

Level 66

Late Game Build

THOUGHTS ON THE PASSIVE TREE BUILD:
*Since most of the LA builds are based around Static Blows for that 10% chance to shock, I figured why not make that 10% chance in to 15% by starting shadow and grabbing the lightning nod, Shock. Basically, you start off going straight for Iron Reflexes, grabbing all of the Mana nodes on the way. Once you reach Iron Reflexes you than go up to grab the 3 elemental dmg nodes as well as the 3 lightning dmg nodes, or you could stop at Shock, and skip the last lightning dmg node.
*Once you do that, You start following the build up, making your way to Static Blows and grabbing all of the Mana regen and ES nodes on the way. Once you reach Static Blows, by than you should have already acquired plenty of ES gear to start making your transition to CI, grabbing the rest of the ES nodes and going down for Deep Wisdom and Arcane Focus.
*If you feel that you need a few more levels before you want to switch to CI, you could start making your way towards Body and Soul, and taking some of those nods to boost your ES even higher, before you skill in to CI.
*Make your way to Resolute Technique before you start doing higher level maps, and all the points after put in to reaching the Templar tree and grabbing, Elementalist, Catalyst and extra Weapon Elemental Dmg nodes.

THOUGHTS ON GEM BUILD:
-Single Target DPS = Elemental Hit + Added Lightning DMG + Weapon Elemental DMG + Life Leech. If you have a 5 link, You could add Faster Attacks or Faster Projectiles. For 6 link, It's up to you, but I will probably get either Mana Leech or Both Faster Attacks and Faster Projectiles for 5th and 6th slot respectively.

-LA Support = Lightning Arrow + Weapon Elemental + Lesser Multiple Projectiles + Life Leech. For 5 Link add Chain and for 6 link Mana Leech or Faster Projectiles.

-Primary Auras = Reduced Mana + Grace + Clarity + Purity
-Secondary Auras if able to support with Mana = Reduced Mana + Discipline + Wrath

-Curses = Conductivity

OTHER THOUGHTS:
*Right now I am not really sure about Mind Drinker, so far I am lvl 48 and I am not having that many mana issues, but sometimes I do tend to go through mana pots a bit. If that worsens or keeps up, I might plan on spending the extra 2 points and garbing Mind Drinker for that 2% leech, which technically should solve all my mana problems.

THINGS TO COME:
*I plan on posting more about the auras and curses for the build, as well as all the support gems and preferable item stats once I reach a higher level and progress. I will keep updating this thread with more info as I learn/adapt.

SMALL UPDATE:
*So today, I reached level 70 in Onslaught league with this build, still farming docks as I feel that I don't have enough ES at the time(3.1k), to do maps. My RNG has been terrible when it comes to gear, 4 hours of farming = 5 yellows, no joke. This is the worst RNG in history of gaming for me. Currency same, so I can't buy much. But even with semi-crappy gear Docks and even some of Solaris farming is a breeze. I destroy most of the monster packs with Lightning Arrow + Weapon Elemental DMG + Lesser Multiple Projectiles + Life Leech, and for single Target I have Elemental Hit + Weapon Elemental DMG + Added Lightning DMG + Life Leech, which results in me doing insane amounts of DMG to single targets.

For Reflect mobs I carry a Lightning Resistance Flask, which I tend to pop right before. So far so good.

-Update 2
Added Vaal Pact and changed around a few nodes that in the end turned out to be a waste of a point.

ALL FEEDBACK IS WELCOMED AND APPRECIATED! I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU GUYS!

Hey yo I'm a lvl80 LA shadow :)
Just respecced to this after the patch. I don't use Static Blows but I think of involving it to my build, do you think that it's essencial? I didnt care for resolute technique since I'm using a Lioneyes and gone the way up to the witch tree and grabbed some lightning damage. Also the 30% lightning elemental weapon dmg near the shadow start is very usefull :) It works pretty good on lunaris farm and low maps, didnt try on hard maps yet cause my gear sucks :P But LA+LMP pretty much destroys bigger groups :D do i see it right that when there is like 6k dps displayed on LA, It gets up to 18k when I hit 3 nearstanding mobs? cause the aoe of each of the three arrows hits the two others again? Wondered about this cause there are only 6k displayed and I kill bigger groups a bit faster than with my 11k dps EK shadow.

Edit: Saw that you picked up the 16% chaos resi keynote but youre using CI? think thats a mistake. I'm using life and EB so i can run 5-6 Auras

Would you mind posting a link to your build? I would be interested to see it :)

Yes the 16% chaos resistance was a mistake, thank you for pointing that out. I also find static blows essential, since if you shock stack groups of mobs you end up absolutely destroying them even if they are champions. It also works really well against bosses and bigger mobs since if you shock stack them you can kill them very easily. Yeah with a Lionseye RT isn't needed, but since not everyone will have it, Its still kinda wanted for this build.

Yes the DPS for LA doesn't show the true picture. You end up doing a lot more dmg when there are groups of mobs. On my lvl 82 ranger that i retired, I was able to 1 shot groups of mobs and 2-3 shot champion packs.

As to being life based and EB, I thought about it and thing is with the new nerf to HP, and Shadow already not being able to grab many life nodes to begin with, I feel that you would have the same issue as my Ranger LA build, which is EB. Yes my ranger kills mobs quickly, but if a big mob gets to me and hits me, I tend to have to port out not to die or pop a quick silver and wait for regen. I go down to around 500-800hp from 3k, now if that same mob were to crit me, I would probably die. With ES however you can get a lot more effective life. Since you can get around 5k ES with decent ES gear fairly easily around that same that my ranger is.

Bump, I would really love feedback from others :) I got a day off today from work, so am going to try and get at least 10 levels tonight to see how this build is in act 3 merciless.
Going to give this build a shot now. Would you be able to post progressions of the build (at the major points, lvl 30, 50 etc...)??

While your textural description is good, this would help me quite a bit.

Also, around which level do you hit CI and lock it in - and do you get the Nullification and Coordination nodes before Static Blows / CI?

Posted an update to the builds for leveling :) Check it out!
Hey man Cyberwolf.

What do you think of my build?
It's my first build..
It's almost like yours but different routes and some different keystones.

Well first of all, you should make your build around 105-108 points. Since 120 points is unrealistic for 95% of the people.

Second of all, the way you take it down towards Iron Reflexes, while it's not bad and If you don't need the early mana regen I guess it's fine, but most people will have mana issues early on so grabbing the first mana % nodes and regen nodes is good, that's why my build does it that way.

Third of all, in your Templar tree, you don't grab catalyst but instead go for pure elemental dmg. Lighting arrow converts 50% of physical dmg in to lightning dmg, so while the elemental nodes do benefit that 50% of dmg, it isn't enough to justify grabbing them over the insane increase in weapon elemental dmg that you can grab on that same Templar tree which will boost your DPS a lot more. There are a few other kinks to work out, but honestly I'd like to first see you post a build that only uses 105 points.

Thank you for the questions and I'll be happy to reply!
New Small Update about the build as I reached level 70. Thank you all for support! Feedback is very welcomed :)
so let me get this clear - the only reason you play this build with a Shadow is the "Shock" passive to get 5% more shock?

and could you post your current gear and which stats important for you?
