Macs are overpriced for the parts mainly it the design better cases and design. They do have some better video and picturing editing software though. Just run Windows emulator for mac if you wanna play on release problem solved.
Yes good sir, I enjoy slaying mythical creatures.

I'd love for this game to have a native Linux client. But if that's not possible or not going to happen soon, I just hope that GGG is going to make the client run under WINE (emulator). Most modern games run well under it but there are quirks with some (if something requires Games for Windows Live for example it's a no go obviously), even popular games like League of Legends. I have no idea why didn't they make a Mac/Linux client for their game. S2 Games did a great job with Heroes of Newerth and Savage game series as all their releases are F2P and have native clients for all platforms.
I hope GGG will follow in this path and recognize huge demand for native games among Linux user population. Especially games like PoE would find fertile ground there. Time is precious. Waste it wisely.

There are numerous problems with making multiplatform games. One is having to code an opengl version for the mac and linux versions. Also, linux has a heap of distros which be near impossible to guarantee support on; of course, GGG would probably release a version that works on most linux distros, if they ever release a linux version, and say something like "We don't guarantee linux support but try this client."
And of course, trying to make the game exactly the same on all platforms would be a bit of a challenge too. [15:51] desophos: Loincloth + Leap Slam = unfortunate.

" It's true, they are very stable and user friendly. And the OS doesn't use up a lot of your resources like Windows does. I purchased my first Macbook Pro this year for work purposes (it's an industry standard for Graphic Design) and the 2011 models have a low-mid end dedicated graphics card. So it should do the job just fine for GGG. The new Imac's apparently have a nice high end card, making the machine much more suitable for Gaming....and I would imagine gaming on that lovely crystal-clear 27" screen would be freeking awesome... I haven't heard good things about Wine, but I've heard running Windows in Bootcamp is a very stable way of playing your games. That's what I've done, and I'm very happy with it. I love lamp

" I run Windows (and Path of Exile) in Bootcamp and it makes me forget that I'm using a macbook. It is indeed absolutely identical to using a PC as far as I'm concerned. Lead Developer.
