Great build, few questions:

What shield is best? Daresso's Courage, Aegis Aurora or some rare one?
Why Carnage Heart amulet?

Shields:

Just took a look at Aegis Aurora, but I'm not sure how it would benefit this build where other shields can't. Daresso's is for easy resistances, while Lioneye's would be for life + armor. A rare shield can potentially trump both of them, but you'd need to have high rolls on virtually all the right stats.

Carnage Heart:

The life leech. Having a good Carnage Heart pretty much means you don't need to look for LL on any other item. Plus the stats and resists help, too, if only by that slight bit. Life takes a slight hit but it's probably possible to get 3k life even with Carnage (I've got 2.7k).

I've been playing with an Aegis a decent amount and it makes things pretty easy. If you have one you'll see how fun it is. Just the high block is awesome.
I'd like to post my build and stuffs :) can u explain me how to report item on the forum?
Any reason why you didnt pick up Golem's blood on the way to IF?

Yeah man. I mean against any trash mobs you can generally just run into the middle of them and do nothing if you really want and not die...
out of curiousity has anyone tried frenzy on this build?
I'm using Abyssus instead of BoR but suffice to say whatever gear you have ele reflect will ruin you if you use melee splash.

Even in 20% phys reflect maps, where it should be noted with hatred and inf blow 2/3 of my damage is elemental, the return damage from splashing a dense pack is insane.

This is with 77% all resist, 16,000 armour. But I was trying to solo a 6 person party in 69 maps, so it might be slightly skewed.

Just a warning to all folk, be careful where you use your fist.

P.S. Because shields take this build from looking more manly than the Old Spice guy to looking more pathetic than a teletubby, I searched long and hard for the only manly alternative.

A discrete spiked bundle:

The bigger your shield, the less manly your facebreakerer. Don't compensate.

Shame he can't rake peoples faces with it while he's waiting for the next punch.

P.P.S WTB Bringer of Rain, 250% Ar/Ev min. PST

Lol.

Died my first "real" death the other day in a 69 map with 18% Reflect. 75% All Res with 15k+ Armor. I had Melee Splash on, but was trying to be careful not to mindlessly swing that fist, letting my life regen and leech work between sets of swings. It, however, wasn't meant to be.

P.S. I say "real" death, because for a long time now the only reason why I died was due to alt-tabbing mindlessly. But hey, that's why I play Standard.
You still feel manly though, dying in true melee style. None of this fake melee 'cleaving' or 'ground slamming' or 'sweeping'. Anyone can do that non-melee rubbish. Real men use fists.
