Can Elemental Equilibrium work?

Oh. I guess that defeats the purpose then. :(
I use it with frost nova+lighning dam+crit chance+elemental prolification to set EE debuff and shocking/freeze the group, then cast Molten shell and wait for fireworks !

-50% to fire + shocked enemy = Molten shell awesomeness

only problem is casters atm...
Also note: it only triggers/refreshes off hits, so if you bracket an igniting hit (say, from a diamond flask'ed fireball) with a lightning/cold spell on either end, you can stack quite a bit of burn damage.

Another way you could look at this is for a 'Group Play only toon'.

I'm considering trying this on my Marader.

Shield Charge + Fire Dmg
Ground Salm + Fire Dmg
Molten Shield + Ignite Support

Basicaly my party wont use fire dmg skills.

/ Minions Witch
/ Chain Archer with Elememtal Hit Single DPS
/ Wand Templar
/ Ice Crit Freeze Witch

I can pretty much give the whole party a -50% enemy resist forever.

This goes with my play style of Endurance Conduit.

how about dual wield with two different elemental on each weapon?
since you attack with different elemental,

Played it myself, with slight alterations, up til lvl 70. Easiest time I have had in cruel and merciless difficulty by a long shot, started doing maps at lvl 63.

So, yeah, I'd say it can work!
EE does not work with elemental hit anger and wrath auras gives mobs +25 fire and lightning -50 to cold which is useless cause your damage mostly come from lightning and fire even w/o auras which leaves u with crippled dps, EE take advantage of ur first ele hits element so basically if u hit with lightning first u ll lose most of your dmg output again.
I dont recommend EE with elemental hit or any other skill which supports by anger and wrath.

I plan on building a templar, with EE end game using all three of the elemental attack skills (Glacial Hammer, Lightning Strike, Infernal Blow)

I constantly switch from GH to IB every hit on single targets to oblivion. With the Weapon Elemental Damage support gem and the appropriate Penetration gems, you can imagine the damage
dealt.

Also... the elemental attack skills have such little mana costs (The highest they ever reach is 13) so support gems don't increase the cost as badly as other skills.
I hear it works well with explosive arrow. Spec it for ignite and pepper enemies with lightning arrow + cold damage and your Burns are suddenly devastating (2.25 multiplier! The initial explosion deals more damage, so the Burns have a higher base. Then the Burns are buffed by the lower resistances too). Party with fireball slingers for extra fun.

I use EE with my Lightning Summoner with Flame Sentinal Specters+ conductivity resulting in Complete elemental vunurability Works pretty well when you only have to focus on a single element
