Installer Error

The problem is with the installer though, it is giving an error saying that I cannot install it.

I have avast and spybot, however i disabled both of those and no go.
Ok, got a few things:

#1
"

1- Create folder C:\Temp
2- Navigate to Control Panel/User Accounts/Change My Environment Variables
3- Change the value of both TMP and TEMP to C:\Temp (Default is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Temp)

Reboot, try the MSI file.

#2
"

Start > Search > Regedit (might need to run as Admin)
navigate to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions
Rename MachineThrottling to _MachineThrottling

Should not need to reboot, try the MSI file.

#3
"

1. Delete the string values (Except for (Default)) in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\SQMClient\Windows\DisabledSessions
2. Start gpedit.msc
3. Expand Computer Configuration, expand Administrative Templates, expand System, expand Internet Communication Management, and then click Internet Communication settings.
4. In the details pane, double-click Turn off Windows Customer Experience Improvement Program, and then click Enabled.

May need a reboot here, then try the MSI.

If one fixes it, please let me know which one.

Thanks for the suggestions, none of them worked.

I did however solve the problem.

I created a new user account and installed it through that.

Worked absolutely fine.

Thanks

Thanks for the Update. Sounds like the SECURITY settings are messed up on the other account then.

Very strange! I'll make sure to pass this on to others who have the same problem.
Balance & Design
has anyone figured out how to change the security settings?
i dont want to bother clogging my computer with another account just to install 1 program...
Yeah I had this issue too. I got that error when I downloaded the installer before I had gone to my email to verify my account.

After verifying my account, the installer still didn't work so I re-downloaded the installer and that worked fine.
I had this problem as well, and solved it the same way (by creating a new account linked to a different email). I suppose what happened was that I tried to download before verifying my account and this caused the problem, though I don't understand why it wouldn't just say that. Silly
May I simplify the solution:

Downloaded insteller before validation -> not working.

Downloaded installer after validation -> works fine.

So if you encounter this problem, make sure you have validated your account before downloading the installer!
