New skilltree: Negative feedback

Has anyone else noticed a decrease to accuracy? I went from 88% chance to hit down to 74% chance to hit with this skill tree change. And yes like a dumbass I had forgotten to screen shot my old stats and passive skill tree so I'm not really sure if I really lost that much dex in the transition.

Thanks for all the feedback! It is valued, and we do realise there are changes we have to make.
There is refinement we did lose with such a big redesign. The loss accuracy is not from tree changes, but a bit of a buff that monsters at very high levels got to evasion and accuracy. | |
" pretty much what I think. By far the biggest letdown so far. " Pls change it back T_T Well to be honest I did expect this to happen. The games created these days aren't made for someone who wants to think and experiment. They are extremely dubed down to oblivion in choice of matter and catter towards everyone. Well that is to be expected when most gamers are 15 year olds these days. /rant over " /rant continue Definetally wrong. Take a close look at the old one and see how simple it is to switch paths. This one is like point A leads to B C, B leads to E and C to F. The other one was like A leads to A B C etc etc and you could easily get to things such as blood magic with pretty much any character using any build. And in general it seems like they made the points that lead to the next one extremely synergising while the old one was far more versetile/volatile which made you consider the path you were taking. Also the volatile factor made it possible for alot of customization and fun/awesome builds. /Just relized that your post sounds extremely alot like one I made about 1 year ago when speaking about diablo 3 skill/rune system. /rant end Last edited by neroscapegod#7009 on Jul 24, 2012, 7:46:09 AM

The new tree should still emphazise new and crazy builds. But i really like the look of the new one. It seems so much more sorted out and better to wrap the head around it. And i dont think that has something to do with simplifaction but with more defined geometriey and shapes. Keep that and combine it with the possibilities of the previous.

" Qarl I do appreciate the feedback concerning the loss of accuracy, but perhaps these types of changes could be put in the patch notes so that when we rebuild our characters we can take this into consideration. It's kinda funny that all good games become shit after few updates that WoW babies wanted so much. Bring back the endless possibilities!!!

Qarl, great to know that the developers read our feedback and that you guys realise the new tree is not as it should be yet. Please keep us informed about the changes you are going to make.

I haven't played the old tree extensively but I agree with the general notion that it offered more versatility.
On the other hand the new tree is much easier to read as it has nice geometric forms and is pretty much cleaned up. So simply going back to the old one is not a step in the right direction either. In my opinion, a few shortcuts added to the tree could do the trick: 1. Provide a quick way for each class to get into the middle so that they can move over to other class specifics via their shortcuts for hybrid builds 2. Provide a quick way for each class into each of the four corners for the "crazy stuff", such as "Bow Templar" |

" Thanks for replying to the thread. It's good to know that you are reading through all the feedback. I believe that much of the problems we see can be fixed by taking back the old tree shape. It's hard to explain, but I just posted an illustration in another thread: " I am not asking for a return of the old tree, but rather the spider web/galaxy like shape, with more freedom to break the norm.
