What i mean to say is give us some npc that can identify items for FREE when in town like Cain could in D1 and D2, i am having serious identify scrolls shortages...

I forgot to say pls.... i mean pretty pls with cream on top...

Thats the same as asking for free transmutation stones. What will you do with identify scrolls after that? Complain that they should be removed because nobody picks them up?

Dont be such a cheap-a$$
Make it a travelling NPC that have a chance to randomly appear in any zone, rather then a stationary NPC in town.

i just identified 14 stash tabs full of items. now my hands hurt....

just add an option to alt-click on wisdom scrolls so your complete inventory gets identified, while deducting the appropriate number of wisdom scrolls.

no devaluation of wisdom scrolls, but reduces risk of carpal-tunnel.
You know that first face eating zombie you see when you wash up on the beach? That was Deckard Cain. Old men dont fare well against zombies :( (Templars notwithstanding)

Wisdom Scroll being the base currency in this game, so having a free ID NPC is a no-no.
It will affect the balance.

But if this NPC helps you "safekeep" the wisdom scrolls, then it would make sense.
In-short whatever wisdom scroll you found and you past them to this NPC for safekeep, after which when you need to ID items, you can approach this same NPC.
There shouldn't be any cap in the numbers of wisdom scrolls for safekeep (maybe for only programming wise).

So if this ID NPC helps your safekeep the wisdom scrolls instead of providing free ID, i would see it viable in-game.

+1 to the have a ID NPC.
-1 to the free ID.

Hope the dev can take a look into this.

They should just remove ID scrolls completely, they serve no purpose. The only reason to have ID scrolls in a game is if you could equip un-identified items. If that were the case, items would need to have negative effects to them, and ID scrolls would need to be much rarer. As it stands, the identification process on items only serves to keep players from using an item for a few seconds.

The vendor recipes that utilize un-identified items, are the only exceptions.
