Portal is used outside the town, so everyone takes it into action have to afford inventory space and case in HC the risk of losing it during a char death. "Identify skill" can be used anytime, so anyone has that gem will definitely store it in the stash and use it without any cost, makes it a must have for everyone or at least for every team. And after most people are using this free tool, the scroll value is ruined, followed by alternation orb or even the whole system. A gem would be nice if u could activate gems in town, but at the same time WHY even have the use to identify items? let em drop pre-rolled showing just the base item until its in an inventory and elimiate all those vendor recipes for unidentified items! I'd love a quick ID all. Or at the very least, make it so right clicking on and un-ID'd item automatically ID's as though you clicked on the stack of scrolls first.
