I just wanted to understand: are those who are experiencing a problem all from Russia? Or not only that?

Apparently, this issue only affects players from Russia.

Look for your gateway. Many people have been let in from Russia via Milan, but the location needs to be recreated... or the map, unfortunately. It's best not to go to church in this situation. Many have also been let in if you specify mos.login.pathofexile2.com:21273 in the server line, but the location also needs to be recreated.

I did some troubleshooting on my side and wanted to share the pattern.
What I tested: * I reproduced the issue multiple times. * I checked different gateways in-game. That did not solve it. * I tested MTU changes. No meaningful effect. * I captured traffic on my router during the loading screen both without VPN and with VPN. * I compared active connections before and during portal transitions. What I found: * The game does not talk to just one server. It uses a mix of cloud/edge infrastructure. * During loading, I consistently saw connections to groups that look like AWS-style ranges such as `3.*`, `44.*`, `51.*`, and also edge/CDN-style ranges such as `95.*` and `104.*`. * Without VPN, at least some required connections appear to stall during setup. In packet capture, I saw repeated TCP connection attempts with no reply. * With VPN, the same transition works immediately, and that failed handshake pattern disappears. My conclusion: It looks like a routing / infrastructure access problem. Based on the behavior, it strongly looks like access from Russia to some cloud/edge hosts is degrading or partially breaking. PoE 2 then gets stuck on loading because some required backend/instance-related connections do not complete normally. VPN changes the route and the game starts working again. So at this point my working theory is: the issue is not one specific PoE server, but degraded access from Russia to groups of external infrastructure hosts the game depends on. Короче говоря, приехали. Last edited by Steroidd89#9772 on Apr 16, 2026, 1:51:11 PM
