" I play on hardcore and I'm feeling rather pigeonholed as the answer to every issue is SOLO, and the answer to effective SOLO builds is stack HP or ES using > 75% of your passive points, leaving only a handful of viable end game builds to choose from. Current loot system = SOLO except for experience and quests? Except that for bandit quest in particular and boss quests in general, there are just enough griefers out there that SOLO is once again the answer. If I SOLO for loot and quests to avoid greifing, I gain enough xp in the process that I no longer need to group for xp either. Hell with the current trading system, except for 'build centric' items, I end up farming more, going 'self farmed' for equipment, making grouping for xp even less necessary. All of this, of course, further pigeonholes me in respect to build viability. At the end of the day, since I'm playing SOLO and rarely trading, I have to ask myself, why am I playing an online game? Why small time?
Why make everyone stop fight to pick a fucking item? "The idea is that there's still an adrenaline rush and that the player has to be alert and aware of what items are dropping." Probably the worth idea ever, this complete destroy no-friends games. |

Three choices, SOLO, 'friends only' groups or 'griefer heaven', take your pick. |

So called griefing only happens when you group with 95% of the complete strangers on public parties. If you play with friends you don't have to stop fighting but can just pick the items after the fight is over. So find the 5% among the public groups and start playing with them. OR get IRL friends hooked to the game as well. It wont be that hard.

GGG Make it so you just have to stay near the item. This is because your system isn't working. Many times i ran to the item had some time left to pick my item up but i couldn't klick it don't know why, maybe because i was one pixel to far away or a mob was there and i attacked instead of picking up or a player stood directly on the loot or i couldn't move near enough because another player was blocking me. Nevertheless if i wouldn't have to klick the loot but just have to stand right near it to pick it up or at least make it more klickable it would work. But how it is at the moment it's not challenging staying on an item and klickspamm it hoping you will get the item with your name on it. Mostly frustrating and not funny => playing alone or ignoring loot(as long as i am low level it's not so important).
Overall the system need to get better before it makes any fun. |
