Generally the more vocal party in a dispute is a minority under these circumstances. Why? Well you only tend to speak out when there is something you don't like. So with this in mind it would seem that more people are enjoying the current system (And staying silent/playing the damn game) then there are those complaining about it.

There are a few of us here sticking up for the current system and a few against the system, the few against the system may post more often but is generally just the same people over and over trying to make the issue appear bigger then it really is just to get there way.

this is wrong assumption. because studies around the globe have show that disastiffied consumers DO NOT speak about their problem in a service they just move their money out of it.
So if even a small minority as you say talks negative about a service there are plenty more that they wont' bother discuss it but they will get their money out of it...

you cant' assume that if they do not talk they are ok with it
When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself

Actually, no. This isn't how it works.

Yes, generally people are going to speak up more when they have a complaint. The problem is is that there is a HUGE number of people who do complain but do it entirely through other channels, such as complaining to their friends or in global chat. And there are still others who do not enjoy it but simply stop grouping or quit the game outright rather than say anything.

This is why having players take surveys is extremely important as it lets the developers really get a strong sense of exactly what their players are feeling without worrying about confirmation and self-selection biases and the like.

It's also worth noting that worthless complaints are generally squelched in very short order when there is a very clear-cut consensus on a matter (for example, most players are generally going to be pretty favorable towards the passive skill tree, the skill gem system, or the currency items).

and again the reds ignoring the possibility to abuse this ffa system. Melees can block me as range class from picking up my items, and casters can do that with ice wall too...

issue or intended?

YES, THIS. WTF IS THIS?!

WHY CAN OTHER PLAYERS PHYSICALLY BLOCK ME FROM PICKING UP ITEMS?!

This is one of those things that is absolutely indefensible. Fix it!

the lootsystem now is rubbish, i dont play in groups anymore, most time people standing around and waiting for ninja others loot

makes a game based only on items (thats the term you use i think) broken, fix it

mfg
Play with friends, FRIENDS. If you play with randoms then there will and should be that chance that they will undermine you for there own benefit.

Players who wanted an allocated looting system will hopefully be happy that this system mitigates item loss due to latency and travel distance.

I'm not realy happy as I am one of the players who follow the unwritten law: FIRST kill THEN loot!

The timers force you to stop fighting enemys and run to "your" loot :(. Which ends more often then not in a death (and maybe if you are the tank in a full wipe).

This ultra short timers are my personal reason, why I don't join random groups.

Let the timer start when everyone in group is out of fight and please make it longer (10 to 15 seconds). I play to relax, not for competition :).
^ with this I would be happy :D.

thats the point
How about we make it so that when the timer expires the item emits a shockwave that knocks nearby players away?

But that's circular logic. Unless you have IRL friends that are going to play this game, the only way to find in-game mates is to play in public groups.

At the end of the day, the choices still are:

a) Solo play exclusively
b) Go into the random ninja fest

Which again is what this is all about. FFA loot is about nothing else but to steal items, to enjoy the feeling of having people leaving a one hour dungeon grind without anything of value while you portal away with the valuables.

I dropped grouping because of the loot system sadly

as summoner (auramancer) I need to stay back to not die and I like to be supportive, if I am not intrested to run like a idiot into the frey(a gem I needed droped, 2 sec to grab it before my teammate swarm it but need to placemyself in range fo 6 kamikaze mobs...) and putmyself in serious danger because of danger of the tankier classes just take everything

can't we just simple round-robbing? or set the timer with slider self? right now I find it more of a disadvantage to go in group than solo and sadly not many friends is into PoE
