remove trading from priority and focus thing that people actually care about:fun

so much nerfs are being pushed on game because of "UH OH MUH FRESH ECONOMY IS DYING" most people that play poe do not care care about vaal street stock is crashing because someone figured out cool build interaction or figured out mechanic (aka temple) and that must be punished by all costs by jonh ggg: "the fresh trade asset value guard".

Throw down trading priority in trash can and let traders adapt by themselves instead of constantly catering to them while sacrificing fun of players.

like do you think why people like so much diablo 1-2 (and its mods) grim down and such rpgs?

answer is simple: those game dont force on you terrible systems, miserable loot rates, terrible fodder unique gear that exist so high tier stuff harder to get (go trading you farming looser) currency (that actually MUST be called crafting materials) that drop in miserable quantity so you dont get rich too fast and ruin MUH ECONOMY and constant build nerfs (some deserved tho) to keep trading going because why you wont need to trade when you got best stuff possible for your build

instead those games were finished experiences from start to end that you could play solo or with friends and get stuff you need in reasonable amount of time.

so ggg if you want your game to be relevant and successful, remove root sin of poe 1 and stop pushing players in trading forcibly let economy handle itself out or burn down because fighting your own customer will always resulting in you loosing no mater the outcome

That's all true about PoE2. HCSSF players get to 100, every league. Don't be distracted by the low skill level of the average players in softcore trade.

Everything the OP said is valid. Can you play without trade? Yep, but 90 percent of the players dont want that grind.

The average player gets 2 hours of play time a day. This game is tuned for People that play far more like streamers and try hards. This is why players counts dropped. People are literally playing for weeks just to get one upgrade. Thats not a feel good experience.

I max out every season because im retired and can play all day, but all my friends left for other games long ago for the reason the OP said. So i'll eventually follow because soloing sucks
My fun is trade

Agree with OP and same here. Most of my IRL friends have left cause all busy with jobs and family. This game requires massive amount of time and knowledge. This will be my last league as well, I realized how good it feels to actually get loot and items you need and about to hit level 100. Actually had a mirror drop. But I won't play in future poverty leagues. And also campaign is too slow and a slog and then getting atlas points again, it's just torture. You have to find nexuses that is all RNG, then cleanse for atlas points and also find all citadels so that you can kill arbiter where there is massive power hidden behind (crafting tablets). Too much RNG nd no player agency is not fun.

2 hours a day is still enough to complete everything this game currently offers if you play for 3-4 months.

Simple , if you want that grind there is HC for you . Stay in that and let us fix the game in softcore.
The game have issues and we stated them before and we will not go into your useless dicussion again because 90% of people dont care about your HC.

If you don't have life, this is your choice.

Ok, I hear you.

So, what's your proposed solution?

Unfortunately PoE has made trade a front and center part of the game, so it does matter when something breaks or an exploit occurs. It affects everyone's ability to make builds.

Personally I find the concept of making game economy important in any game were gear isn't lost kinda stupid. League resets are the scape goat so when it goes wrong it goes very wrong.

I don't know if anyone remembers but you can lose your gear in Diablo 1. It was rare since you'd get help at worst but it did happen. That game wasn't even built around multiplayer economy either. It was simply punishment. The difference being gearing to beat the game wasn't hard.

Not to be confused with perfect gearing which actually took a very long time.

To this day the best multiplayer economy still goes to Ultima Online IMO. To claim any modern online game having an "economy" is a bit of a stretch since nothing needs to be replaced. It's more a grueling race to get those irreplaceable items quickly before everything folds in on itself.
