stuck in a loop of "validating files"? after 6 minutes of wait, get in game, ask for download, the "validating files" begins all over again？

how come i have to keep downloading the patch? download, start game, says "download patch". exit, start game, download patch. start game, says exit download patch. exit, start game downloading patch for the 4th time :-)
