Honestly this event is probably the biggest fumble in the history of this game ever.

" The 30k+ people that have quit in the first few days seem to disagree. 2k less players today than yesterday aswell. Steamcharts shows all the numbers. Most people don't like this event, that's simply a fact. If they had just hosted this event as the normal game with phrecia stuff it could have been the easiest W ever for them, but instead we got whatever this is. |

" Toffy what you are presenting is merely your personal opinion, based on a misunderstanding of how Steam Charts actually work. As we have already discussed, Steam Charts are not a reliable source, they do not account for players across all platforms, nor do they indicate how many have not logged in within a given timeframe, or how many returned to continue their sessions on a different day. The vague current player count affected by time zones and real-life responsibilities tells us very little about the event. It cannot confirm how many players have actually quit, and without a legitimate confidential source, it is precarious to throw out numbers while claiming that players have already left. Be that as it may. Streamers like Jung and Lance are Geniuses. Of course they enjoy the game. For me it is the greatest pain.
I love this game. I really do. But slow slams cant kill exarch, except you are like Carn. I am not. Therefore fuck it. I am personally offended by this GGG. This game is more for us than just a hobby. We put passion into it. |

I'm playing an abomination of a build and did exarch just fine.

Streamers aren't geniuses. They simply approach the game in a very different way than modern players, and they have learned through years of trial and error and learning things through their own means. They have the learned knowledge and flexibility to overcome obstacles.
Meanwhile, the vast majority of newer and less experienced players have been fed the "lie" that you MUST follow build guides to learn, play, or even excel at the game. This is why, leagues or even years later, these same players.....have no idea how to make a build or play the game. They hit a wall and are helpless to overcome it, so forumrage and ragequit win out over old-school experimentation and self-improvement. All the wall-busting and problem solving that actually TEACHES you the game......has already been done for you, and so no learning happens and you "think" that its normal to just have smooth progression with no effort from beginning to t16 maps. Any time that gets messed with, players cry foul. Without realizing they've mostly been coasting on the backs of NORMAL players that actually put in the effort. Not geniuses There are very few LEGITIMATELY complicated concepts in PoE. The rest is...quite simple, provided you spend a bit of time testing, thinking, learning. It's simple addition and multiplication. PoE is a game of quantity far more than it is about complexity. As an example that I see all the freaking time: Consider the difference between "avoidance" and "mitigation" when it comes to defenses. Too often do people complain about difficulty and imbalance, even when they claim they have thousands of hours or years of experience. Yet when you look at their characters......ZERO mitigation, ONLY avoidance. Or only conditional mitigation and NO avoidance. These aren't hard concepts. You don't need to be a "genius", or really even all that experienced to grasp this, and your builds would be multiple times more tanky because of it. Starting anew....with PoE 2 Last edited by cowmoo275#3095 on Feb 5, 2026, 9:51:40 PM
