Gladiator Arena. Theme idea for league/mechanic.

Would be the most fun thing if implemented to test Bosses. It's like playing with monster waves. It reminds me killing floor game. Maybe it's too soon for 0.5.0 but it can be possible after full release.

Gladiator Arena would be located in the harsh desert of Act 2. When you enter the red sands of the arena, this is where players across Wraeclast fight to the death for fame and glory. This would have an associated leaderboard that resets every new league. The arena would pit you against other characters of similar level and rankings as listed below.
Gladiator Arena New PvP League Mechanic Accessed: Act 2 Map Unlocks: Level 20 @ Arena Patron NPC Leaderboard: Resets Every New League Arena Rankings: * Pit Dog * Brawler * Soldier * Warrior * Gladiator * Champion * Grand Champion |

Give us challenges!!! The game became routine. Or you just fear that some classes will reveal their insane OP builds.... |

" Great idea. They can also weave in the glory mechanic somehow. I don't think it's fleshed out the way it is and fits thematically. It would shift away from the same old build up "x" to perform "y" generic stuff. Under the hood it's all the same. |

I really hope they add another melee class and its weapon in 0.5—something like a sword Duelist or an axe Marauder, or even a Paladin with a flail. As a melee player, four seasons of nothing but hammers has honestly gotten pretty old.
My concern is that the endgame overhaul planned for next league might take up so much effort that 0.5 ends up being just seasonal content plus the endgame rework, without any new classes—maybe 1 or 2 of the remaining ascendancies for the current ones. Still, since we're getting three leagues this year, I'd expect at least two new classes in total. One of them pretty much has to be melee. I honestly can't imagine a full release ARPG without swords and axes. |
