Next PoE league: Please consider making the campaign optional!
POE 1 campaign is pretty fast anyway. Treat it like idk 50 maps you have to run in order to level up.
You guys post such ridiculous suggestions, let's just go ahead of schedule and make your character spawn at level 95 with a mirror in the inventory. Cos farming and earning it takes too long lol. You can do that in single player arpgs. Download an item pack and a max level character save. I did this in Project Diablo II and it just isn't fun. |

" Slippery slope fallacy is just an excuse not to add QOL to your game. QOL that players have been begging for for years, because the campaign is too boring. |
" You don’t need to become a speedrunner, but the average player naturally grows faster with each league. Repeated play steadily sharpens campaign efficiency, to the point where many average players now complete it in roughly six to eight hours, while, by contrast, speedrunners can finish two Voidstones in the same span of time. If someone, even after years of experience and multiple runs, still cannot bring their campaign time below 9h, they are not truly an average player. They fall below that benchmark, and the campaign is simply well-tuned for them as a space to learn and reinforce the fundamentals of the game. " There is a fine distinction between QoL and what falls outside of it. " Nah, 12-13 hour campaign is still above average. Either way it needs to be skippable cuz its a boring slog. I refuse to play more than 1 character per league until something is done to make campaign on alts better, easier, faster, or a straight-up skip. |
" No, Toffy, that’s already a below-average pace for anyone familiar with the game, especially someone who’s played through four or five leagues. " Leveling alternate characters is already very fast, usually taking less than two hours. As campaign completion times continue to drop each league, there’s effectively no need for a campaign skip. GGG understands this well, which is why they keep adding small gimmicks to the campaign, to make it more tolerable for below-average players. " Yeah, maybe for the top 0.0001% speedrunners. It still takes like 8-9 hours even with full gear while following a maxroll leveling guide lmfao |
" No Toffy, that’s a fairly standard clear time if you have your leveling gear ready and just focus on progressing. If it takes you eight to nine hours with alternate gear, and you still end up surpassing what the average player needs to complete the campaign without leveling gear, it only underscores that you are below average. If you’re still depending on guides to navigate the campaign, there’s not much more to say, you are exactly the audience the campaign was designed for, and its purpose is to ease new players into the game. Nah, campaign skip is inevitable. People will keep asking for it until it happens, that's how we got Faustus and Asynch trade, which are objectively the best things that ever happened to this game.

Considering the considerable effort they continue to invest in the campaign, it is clear that a campaign skip will not be implemented.
Furthermore Toffy, Faustus and Asynch trades were added precisely because they were originally designed for PoE2, making a backport relatively straightforward. Were it not for PoE2, PoE1 would still be constrained by its older systems. Additions such as settlers and gold have facilitated a backport that, while largely seamless, still retains some friction. After all, the community originally requested an auction house, and the current system remains far from that ideal, as it does not fully replicate the intended functionality. " Oh an in-game price check UI is coming, soon enough it will be exactly like an auction house, where you slap an item in and the game tells you its price. And it will be glorious. That QOL is something that will get added sooner or later. Until then I can keep asking my friend to check all my items, or list them for random prices and then severely undercut until I sell them. |
