The Bringer of Rain/build question

Last night I got this helm from an orb of chance and was stoked till I realized that I have no idea how to make a build around it. I saw some posts about using it with facebreakers but couldn't find a good facebreaker build (youtube blocked at work).

So any thoughts on a good build for this? Is facebreakers the way to go or is there another good option? Or would some kind soul post a link to a facebreaker build on the POE site (and not tell me to google it).

Is this a good item to use with a 2h marauder using a general heavy strike/ground slam build very similar to this one:

My thought is use your PoE knowledge to make your own build. Much more satisfying that way.

Meh, I'm an accountant, I leave being creative to others. Plus I am also going to school full time, working full time, and have a 7 month old child. Fun to me is using something that works that I don't have test myself since I have little free time and would rather play the game than theory craft/test the game. And I figured it might generate some actual game conversation more than "should I exalt this" or "screw you I quit" topics : / but not so far apparently. . . . Guess its back to searching.

You can go with full block with cyclone 1 hander. The key is with full block u gonna need eye chayula or US for not perma stun on block but cyclone prevents this with cyclone u cannot be stunned.

I prefer 1 hander cause it can have much more att speed than facebreaker and more defence and sockets on gloves since helm blocks chest piece. Go with full attack speed and block nodes, u can use claws,daggers any type of weapons and i wouldnt take Iron Reflexes cause blind works better with high evasion chance but its not that important u can still have %75 to evade from blinded targets with IR.



I wouldnt use carnage heart either nor daresso's courage but i would keep carrying stone of lazhwar and ratpith globe for caster heavy maps. Beside than that u can go with best rare ammy and lioneyes remorse or good rare sheilds.

With full block u can gain end charges on block while still attacking with cyclone thats a insane plus for survivavibility. U can crash anything beside than lightning thorns :D

How about face breakers with dodging, evading, blocking, elemental adaptation, purity, grace and vaal pact. Use carnage heart with life leech gem for a massive amount of life leech with vaal pact and the only thing that will kill you are things that can one shot you and things that charge. You will have less than a 1% chance to be hit by an attack and massive resistances with spell dodge. Use cyclone(with blood magic gem) so you can't get stunned. This really uses the blind skill in the helm well.

You could start getting damage nodes after the 100 points.

Here is a more standard IR, block, and face breakers build with endurance charges. Same kinda idea as above but with damage reduction.

Again you can start getting damage nodes in the end. You might want more life though.


In both builds you'll need to play with nodes depending on your shield for block and your int for purity. I really like the dodging build but charge pretty much messes the build up.

This build isn't viable. The 'Extra Gore' on Facebreaker, Carnage Heart, and The Bringer of Rain don't stack, you're wasting a ton of potential..

If it did... it'd be the perfect build.

I'm thinking the best bet would be a heavy Life% Facebreaker's build without Unwavering Stance, that uses Cyclone as main source of DPS.

Level with Unwavering until you can equip Helm and have high enough health pool that you rarely get stunned.

Cyclone because any melee skill+Splash with Facebreaker's causes the most desync you will EVER see in your entire life... (My Flicker+Multistrike Shadow desyncs less... -.-")
Hopefully the upcoming desync fixes next patch, and the patch after that will be of some help.

But I'd personally wait until the melee buffs next week, that's what I'm doing.

You heard it GGG, extra gore needs to be an additive effect. Change each item to be like x% increased extra gore.

Forget Additive, make it Multiplicative, I want whole screen covered in blood-explosions when I punch stuff! :P
