ascendancy via ToC / Sekhemas = TRASH content.

This would be such an easy fix. Every coin tier should start on it's designated floor.

" 0.4 dropoff has nothing to do with trials imo. It's bcause people got butthurt about "temple exploiters" not being punished and then again when temple changes happened. 0.3 had no mid-league adjustments like this. |

I don't play more than one character per season because of them.
I play the Chunk so i don't care if I do them . I play a class that specifically is not impacted by not having them, cause they suck.. darkness... god. I have stopped playing for days after being so pissed off at the waste of my time. In general it sours the whole game. I don't last in end game.. whatever that is. But in general the game is trying to be a sweat lord. And there it is .. just another sweaty time waster in a game that needs a wash. Last edited by LewtDeezNuts#1011 on Feb 27, 2026, 4:53:52 PM

Suckhemas second bosses, melee. Sure is a fucking challenge. Having to reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeplay through all the floors when you only need one is the most infuriating bullshit. That alone, I couldn't give a fuck care less if the content was good or bad- its fucking annoying. Its massively in your favor to wait and do the content super overleveled. Probly massively in favor of evasion builds. Its just the dumbest thing I've ever seen in a game. What if you want to play a fucking thorns build, now what? Just delete it, delete ascendancy too. I'd rather not have ascendancy than have it gated behind this shit. I'd pay more for the game, to NOT have either trial in it. Trialess poe2, double the price, sweet. Best anti-expansion ever. |

I think they are fine as is, but, yes, I did struggle with them as a new player, but that's ok

" Yeah, that's why Trials of Chaos exists. You are not forced to play Sekhemas if your build can't handle them and another trials will come in future. |

Just wanted to add my voice here. Ascendancies originally drove me to stop playing the game entirely. I've gotten back into it recently and have enjoyed flying around and breathing fire on folk. A friend and I spent a couple hours tonight trying to beat the trials of sekhemas level 60 for our 5th and 6th points. Hoo boy does it really kill the fun in the game.

I really like these trials. They felt very difficult the first few times, and I got a rush from beating them at the higher levels. That said, now that I'm in end game they're not so fun anymore. Trial of Chaos is too easy. Hope part of the new end game rework is allowing higher difficulty levels with appropriately improved rewards or odds of the good drops at least.

Sekhemas is too long and boring. None of the rooms have any real challenge whatsoever, you're just repeating braindead tasks like touching crystals over and over while avoiding banes that brick your character.
Would be better with fewer, more interesting and challenging rooms. Chaos is alright but the balance is all over the place. Some modifiers literally do nothing while others are extremely obnoxious and/or punishing. Would make more sense moving the traps modifiers from Chaos to Sekhemas and make Chaos modifiers more focused around the mobs/combat rather than hazards and traps. Sekhamas seems to be more trap/environmental-hazard focused and the traps in Chaos are often more of just an annoyance than any real concern. Last edited by SplashKing#6352 on Mar 5, 2026, 7:28:43 AM

Trials are completely dogwater unfun trash, and EVERYONE knows it.
Seems that we have some "favourites" we want to keep happy or theirs some pride behind the design. As it was said, it is THE most unfun content and most avoided in ALL of PoE 2. It should be a shame to the designer that the goal is to never do it again by 90% the playerbase. |
