There are no buffs or nerfs, only a redirection of the player's attention to the druid and whatever else still needs testing.

Ice Shot: Now converts 80% of Physical damage to Cold damage (previously 70%). Cone Angle increased by approximately 50%. Now has 25% more Freeze buildup. Now deals 178-344% of Attack Damage at Gem levels 9-20 (previously 173-296%). Quality now grants 0-30% more Magnitude of Chill inflicted (previously 0-20% more Attack Damage). Shards now has fires 9-11 Projectiles (previously 6-8). Shards now deals 178-344% of Attack Damage at Gem levels 9-20 (previously 137-234%)

Come on GGG... I was thinking to play gemling and get 19% quality from the ascendancy and play ice shot so i can leverage the quality and get more attack damage... But now after this it's pointless...
What's the use of gemling quality point ?!? 1 ascendancy point for 10% quality when there is a lineage gem giving u + 1lvl and + 10% quality. You literally nerfed 99% of gems and their quality. What's the point to play Gemling ?!? That class is good at nothing at this point...
Doedre undoing also dead on arrival, it was hard enough to stack the intel at 0.3, now without targeted crafting it would be even harder but that nerf was not enough as it is? You had to reduce the curse area as well.

so basically your entire patch can be renamed as "the dawn of the nerfs" because thats all what did u give to us.

How about instead of investing so much time in nerfs to actually give us some content instead, maybe remove those 2 useless 2% quantity nodes from atlas tree and make something useful, or maybe rework the useless "increased chance to get" tablet modifiers, there is so much useful things you can do but you opted NOT TO DO IT.

Rebalancing things on the ground how something looks when used with top gear is a bad really bad way.

It was really never that good at anything. It let you use 1 stat for all of your gem requirements which drastically reduced the need for attribute planning on tree and gear while also making hybrid playstyles that used two different weapons more viable. You could get 40% reduced movement speed penalty and/or 30% mana cost efficiency. If you cared about defense against crit damage you could completely negate that too. A node gave crap ton of crit chance, damage, and skill speed. The node that generated charges was pretty bad and the ones that gave quality weren't that great because it granted a very marginal difference overall power clear speed/dps. I can see how the +2 gem level will now be more desired this patch. Generating charges every 5 seconds every 8 seconds is better but I believe this is only good for abilities that are a part of a rotation and not for skill you use in a 1 button build.

Overall, I think more people are playing Pathfinder this patch because it can save you like 2 dozen skill points if you're not playing to the strengths of the starting trees for each class.
I only play SSF and it is my duty as one to inform you of my status.

I know that GGG might not read that, but I would like to propose this anyway...
Removal of the homogenizing omens was a bummer, so I figured out the way for a casual gamer to feel progress yet for hardcore ones to still have a hard time getting op items.
This would be a combination of a few changes

- Buff recombination, just a tiny bit, 40%? for high level modes it would mean 2% -> 2,8% bump
- Recombination would now produce MAGIC items
- Reintroduce homogenizing coronation ONLY

That would give player the reason to interact with expedition more and hope to get at least decent items with farming, yet keep the gameble at the highest levels

The gemling was never that good at anything? Is this some weird rage baiting post? Once figured out how to build them, the first stat stackers were really strong before the first round of nerfs - and by nerfs I mean GGG's term, which is taking it out to the backyard and...
Let's summarize 0.4 so far...

what was good got bad...

what was bad stays bad...

boredom.

My point was that the quality on Ice shot was giving more attack damage, so leveraging the Gemling for 19% more dmg, and it's ok cause ggg don't give lots of "more" multipliers, but they've been changing the quality of all gems, so at this point investing in quality seems pointless. Like I think that when they changing those quality they don't understand that they literally destroying Gemling even more. That ascendancy at this point is useless in 99% of cases. What u can play on Gemling another ascendancy can do the same and probably outperform it.
hello esteemed community, the nerf to curses was a disservice to the good work already done (my point of view)... i would greatly appreciate it if you would reconsider these changes as they seem exaggerated and unnecessary... if you dont see that way, id at least like an explanation as to why this was necessary as its seems like an attempt to change what was already working to favor something new (again my point of view)
