-20% exp on death needed
" Not everyone is a speedrunner, it takes me 12 hours to do the campaign lmao And not every build can do giga-juiced specialized atlas strats for maximum exp per hour. I'm doing alch&go maps with ambush and some influence, that is literally all I do every league. So for me exp is slow af, and losing 10% means losing hours or even a whole day of exp. Not every build can do simulacrum, that content is only doable by builds especially made for it otherwise you just start dying at like wave 10 because of unlucky mods. Not everyone plays the same meta builds. If there was an in-game poll about deleting exp loss, like 90% would vote yes. Maybe the top 0.1% of players don't think its a problem, but 99% of players do. |

Your evidence: you made it up.

" My evidence is how I feel about the game. Its how badly exp loss makes me feel every time I die. And I know many other players feel the same way. Its my experience playing the game itself. That is enough proof for exp loss to be deleted. |

Very entertaining replies, but as per usualy zero substance beyond personal opinion. Baseless claim after baseless claim with you, Toforto. It's very exhausting how you dilute every discussion from quality conversation with factual evidence and weighted arguments into a preschool detention shouting match about personal feelings

That's what feedback is, its literally my opinion of the game and how I think it can be improved to be more fun. Nothing more nothing less. No need for evidence, or arguing,or debating or any of that. I won't participate in any of that. This forum is simply for players to give their feedback and suggestions about the game.
I think this game would be infinitely more fun and enjoyable for a wider audience if exp loss was deleted today. And I will keep asking for it until it happens. |

" Yes it is your fault. In today’s PoE, you don’t need to run a “meta” build to be durable while dealing enough damage to trivialize maps. That’s something you can achieve on pretty much any build if you actually know how to put a character together. And even if you don’t, simply following a build guide properly is more than enough. The issue is that many players end up with barely half the performance the guide is designed around because they cheap out on core essentials, all while genuinely believing they’re fully min-maxed. Reality catches up fast, and the result is just unnecessary deaths that come from playing a totally suboptimal character rather than the game being unfair. Reaching level 100 is also easier than ever in today’s PoE. The endgame ceiling is relatively low at this point, largely due to years of added player power and layered systems that make it genuinely difficult to not end up with a reasonably well-optimized character. As a result, dying left and right in mapping usually comes down to poor maneuvering, underestimating map mods, or insisting on playing a suboptimal character, not some inherent unfairness in the game. Even when a death does happen, self-sustaining maps and how dirt-cheap juicing has become make recovery trivial. At worst, a death at 99 sets you back 6–8 maps depending on juice, which is less than an hour of progress, not the multiple days of loss people like to claim. " That’s not even speedrun pace. You’re mapping on a near ZHP character with a suboptimal leveling strategy, basically doubling down on making progress harder for yourself and getting farmed by pixels. That’s not the game being unfair, you’re just making it more annoying than it needs to be. You also don’t need a “meta build” for a deathless Sim run. Like most things in PoE, it’s a simple check. If you die, your build wasn’t good enough. With some actual optimization and baseline defenses, pretty much any build can handle Sim 15 without getting effectively one shot. Learn the game and it naturally becomes easier. lol And no, you don’t speak for the majority. Stop projecting your struggles as if everyone else is having the same experience. Not everyone engages with the game with a below average player understanding and engagement. Your opinion is what reflects the 0.1% mark, if even at all. " That would be fine as long as you added anything of value to the thread. Right now you keep making same unsubstantiated claims with different wording in perpetuity which, if we're being honest here, is at best spam, at worst trolling. Also, just stop making claims like "99% of players agree with me." You have zero evidence of that. In fact, all the available evidence proves quite the opposite. Your experience does not reflect what most players experience, because most players don't choose to run endgame content on omega squishy characters. I'd wager to say you are even in the 0.01% of the playerbase. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge. Last edited by ArtCrusade#4438 on Dec 22, 2025, 1:17:05 PM

Exp loss is never the player's fault, its just the game having a random death penalty. All that exp loss does is waste people's time for no reason at all, that's why people don't like it. It just feels bad to lose hours of progress for literally no reason. Its that simple.
Its not my fault that I lose exp, the game is stealing my exp away every time I die. |

" Weird, I would think that a perfectly optimized build like that, with full BiS gear, would have an easier time gaining XP " Literally any build with decent defense and dps can do it.
