Im not playing Poe2
" Lot of people coping with this, but it's the truth. Better get used to poe2. There are lots of idle games out there you don't have to look at if spending 5 seconds killing a boss is too much for you. | |
" There is some misconception going around like mobs die longer in PoE2. Based on my last league every boss was dying in like 1,2 seconds. I have to make some low dps run to learn bosses from act4, because there was no mechanic at all. On Probation Any%

I won't go as far as saying I won't play POE2; but right now it feels awful to play. I can't think of a single element of it that feels better to me outside of some graphical things that really mean little.
I would choose to do just about anything else including chores around the house before playing POE2 in the current state. Thanks for all the fish!

i liked the idea behind poe2. i liked the idea of things being more deliberate, slow/ grounded. i even like relying on dodge rolls. its actual active playstyle that requires skill.
in the campaign, you could melee basic attack most bosses if you had good gear. you could learn to avoid damage and sneak hits in. but all that deliberation went to hell in the end game where everything went back to zoom zoom. if i m going zoom zoom. i might as well play poe1. its a real shame. i wanted poe2 to replace my passion for poe1 but all it did was push me back to poe1. ggg doesnt have the vaals to make poe2 proper slow and deliberate and keep player power in check. poe2 was supposed to fix melee. now thats not happening, i would remind ggg to please make poe1 more melee friendly. EDIT, when i mention melee. i m talking about trumelee. not some bitch ass melee skill that hits the entire screen [Removed by Support] Last edited by exsea#1724 on Nov 19, 2025, 12:38:00 AM

" i die like 20 time for this ! ^^ |

" I have been using my space bar for movement skills for years in PoE 1, so dodge roll in 2 was almost instinctive. 😹😹😹😹😹
I do not and will not use TFT. Gaming Granny :D 🐢🐢🐢🪲🪲🪲 @xjjanie.bsky.social |

I'm not playing it either. I guess it might be soon time for another 4-8 month poe vacation with the current direction this dev's are taking and sending all the resources to 0.2/10 inestad of the game that actually made possible to create another game.
"Parade your victories, hide your defeats. Mortals are so insecure."
Poe 0.2/10 Returning to poe in 3.27: ATROCIOUS game performance, 5/10 league and I apprently missed the loot back in the last league. The more things change the more they stay the same.. |

I played a little last league. First time reaching maps. Got bored and didn't return.
The big problem with PoE 2 is that it doesn't feel good. Right now I'm playing a EQ glad in the new Keepers league on hardcore it feels super smooth. Very defensively sound, big AoE damage, mobility is very good. Feels like you're playing a super hero. It's the same feeling I get at end game playing Terraria. Like a serious accomplishment that you did something good. Elden Ring is the antithesis of this. In that Elden Ring is designed to make you feel bad. You don't feel the same accomplishment. Your character feels like the same bag of trash that he was in the beginning. If anything I have an easier time starting Elden Ring than finishing it. It's one of the serious crimes of the game. DS, Bloodborne, Demons's Souls all felt way better by comparison at end game. What could it be? It's developer crap. Gutting the value of armor, making it so you can't do X,Y,Z things anymore. Nobody asks why. Nobody asks if this is really a good thing. I get the same vibe from PoE 2 design. Why for example we can't have PoE 1 EQ. It's because they want you to circumstantially use 5 different abilities. That's just not what we want. |

" Tension in game is childish you say. I say what you describe is the exact answer of a 90s housewife, when being asked why is she watching a mindless, slow and silly soap opera. "I am already tensed up and stressed out from my 10 hours work and do not want any more tension". Go do yoga, play one of 1000s mobile match 3, and let proper games be games, with challenge, failure and all the other things ancient housewives run from. You watch a show, play PoE and make up builds in your head, sounds like no immersion in any of the activities. Also Archer and PoE, quite a mood and thematic mismatch, what a waste of designers/ musicians/ writers work. I enjoy PoE 1 just as much as 2, but if that quote from Chris Wilson is real (citation please), then I'm kind of happy he's gone. For a game as tonally and strategically serious as PoE, the mindless watch netflix die and continue no reset gameplay is an insult. As for knockoffs, PoE 2 is much less a souls knockoff than PoE 1 was Diablo 2's. Also you mention itt how "everybody" likes PoE 1 and this is what PoE 2 will become. Well the ceiling for "everybody" in this case is 250k, and the ceiling for the other one is Diablo 4 audience, whatever that number is, then all the Elden Ring and Bloodborne "children", and many more who got scared off 1. So yeah look out, and be happy PoE 1 is still on, send roses or sth just in case they succeed. |
