Remove the Soul Eater mod

It is literally the worst thing about the game and there is not a single redeeming thing about it

Rare monsters are the scariest in the game. ... Tons of modifiers. There is no way to identify them all when multiple rares storm you.

You start to learn what they mean while you look them up, dead on the ground, wondering what killed you.

You find "nearby monsters explode" ... Wtf, literally no way to know the group you zoomed into have TNT on them. Oh, and some ground effect upon death to disintegrate your corpse.

I too looked up soul eater today, "increasing damage mitigation", like a marvel sentinel.
by removing soul eater from rare mobs, what are your plans to buff headhunter in exchange? since it would be a big nerf to headhunter

firstly, we are not the devs. we give our suggestions. how we balance the game we can only give feedback. as such we sometimes dont need to solve these issues.

after all it is feedback.

as for souleater via head hunter.

how i'd put it is, if you have a head hunter you'll probably at a level where you're strong enough where you dont NEED to have soul eater. and i'd go on to say if you're using head hunter you know what you signed up for, which is RNG mods.

sometimes you do get soul eater and become a stupid god that attacks a million times a second blitzing the map.

sometimes you dont BUT you're still super strong and blitzing thru the map.

and sometimes you get a shitty mod that makes you teleport like an idiot coz ggg apparently like the idea of hh users being frustrated.

and if we're being real. MOST of the player base dont use HH to begin with. removing soul eater from monster pool is a huge win for a huge majority of the playerbase.

i use HH too but i see the value of removing soul eater. it is only good and nothing bad. getting a soul eater mob in breach feels so bad now where breach monsters keep spawning. reminds me of vorici quests where we need to surgically remove a monster.

its just makes the player feel bad. i dont know anyone who like doing such things. perhaps these people exist. and probably are a small minority.

I don't mind Soul Eater but don't put it on a mandatory boss who keeps summoning mobs so the only way to play around it is to have a way of doing perfectly single target damage (which NO ONE EVER DOES). Or play some hyper damage meta build, but even then it still makes that one boss harder than literally every other boss on higher tier maps even on a white map.

Don't care.

Soul Eater rares with life regen on consecrated ground maps are virtually unkillable, especially if you play a summoner that spams temporary minions like SRS or skeletons. Removing Soul Eater, thus removing their damage mitigation, would eliminate this problem in its entirety.

yes, been begging them to remove it. I've encountered Soul Eater inside a Stable Breach multiple times and he's like a giant machine with unlimited fuels spawning continuously until the mighty can finally put me on the ground
Fun fact, if you steal this mod with Headhunter, you don't even get the defensive component of it.

Which is -2% damage taken per stack. Sums up to 90% DR at max stacks (45).

This is what makes those mobs almost impossible to kill. 10X multiplier on their effective health pool from ONE FUCKING MOD.

It's a badly designed mod. We shouldn't have mods that provide both offense and defense in one package. I hate it on breach, I hate it in blight encounters, I hate it pretty much everywhere until my character is so jacked that I can oneshot such mobs before they even develop the stacks.
