FOCUS ON YOUR VISION - ENGAGING COMBAT!!! SUGGESTIONS!!!
I'm not sure what you mean by fast-paced action-packed engaging gameplay if you think PoE is lacking. Uber bosses, reflect, immunity, etc all require player awareness or player skill to navigate.
PoE2 campaign is a complete faceroll, the same as PoE1 campaign was. If anything, PoE1 act bosses were tougher(used very loosely for comparison) because everything in PoE2 is telegraphed in such an exaggerated manner and can just dodge roll out with literal immunity frames. I haven't emcountered anything in PoE2 that offers any challenge, it just needlessly slows things down. So genuinely, what do you find engaging about PoE2? " This is why I find threads like this one hilarious. There are already multiple ways to make PoE 1, for example, much more tactical without ever touching it's core gameplay loop: - hardcore - SSF - Ruthless - gauntlets/events/etc. - self-imposed challenges Yet there are multiple people who do not want this in PoE 2 and instead want the game to uniformly be build to satisfy their needs. This is crazy to me. Last edited by Johny_Snow#4778 on Oct 4, 2025, 4:17:43 PM

" Whilst I appreciate a good trolling from time to time, your comments are neither helpful, informative, nor entertaining. |

" There’s no dodge roll in poe1, sure you didn’t get the 2 mixed up? Or are you just intentionally being dishonest? |

" And here lies PoE 2's biggest mistake - pulling in people like you, who want to destroy all fun people like me (PoE 1 enjoyers) find in the game. I bet you wouldn't like me telling you to go back to Dark Souls or whatever games you seem to enjoy, but would cheerfully tell me to go back to PoE 1, like PoE 2 was designed specifically for you or something. Here is the deal because some of you clearly don't seem to get it - PoE 2 gets more popular when it is made more like PoE 1. This means better loot, faster gameplay and more build options which don't depend on silly things like collecting remnants. So the way I see it there are three choices: 1. Keep making the game more like PoE 1 until they can peacefully phase out PoE 1 so they can concentrate entirely on the second part. 2. Keep catering to players like you which ultimately means having to juggle two games with PoE 2 being mostly a niche one. 3. Keep whatever they are doing now - trying to please everyone which will just cause more rifts and arguments, more bad reviews and ultimately a game with no identity or reason to exist other than its pretty graphics. " I actually don't at all mind you telling me to go back to dark souls. I do just that every time I have nothing better to play. On the other hand, why are you not satisfied with PoE 1, why do you want to limit it's next iteration and have it be a bland copy paste? You want more content of PoE 1, I get that, thats how I feel about my souls game. But you guys do get new content for PoE 1 all the time, since forever and the creators have said "we want to do something else now". Not a single souls game has ever stayed the same, they all grew, added to their former iterations and evolved. Why do you not want that for Poe? Why do you people keep bashing your "favourite game (company)" and spit on their "vision"? If PoE 2 turns out the same as PoE 1 then guess what, it will have failed. It will probably succeed insofar that it will at one point push PoE 1 off the market, which just means you guys are left with a graphic update at the cost of greatly simplifying your favourite game. While all of us "tourists" will just move on, go back to our "meaningful slow combat rpgs" and PoE 2 will once again be just a niche game. Which would be sad, because it has potential to be better. All ARPG games have A LOT of potential and just because you 30k players enjoy the game as it is, doesn't mean it should stagnate and not be allowed to evolve. |
