0.3.1 Patch Notes

remnants now have problem i think disapears immidiatly the buff at life and mana they give not work at all if u use skill stop working .
Pls GG return rare monsters icons back. Its not funny.
I dont understand why are u guys always change things that worked well from the 0.1.

1) EVASION - what purpose? with the best gear at market a barely have 75% on monk (downgrade from 80%)
2) Tablets - 30% max quantity - is actually NERF from what we had
3) I liked previous towers mechanic - it was STRATEGY game to reveal atlas
4) Bosses now kill me from ONE shot - absolutely disintegrate my 1,5hp and 2,5k ES
5) Monster packs? where is all monsters on t15 maps? mana leech is struggling to fill back my mana.
6) Rare monsters Icons missing
7) People (not me) is struggling with ping and server crashes

As someone said - one step forward, two steps backwards

Hi, first time posting on the forums, of course it is to complain, but I will try to stay civil and constructive.
Spoilers are here to keep post size more manageable and navigation easier, only text in there.

Most of the tower/ tablet rework is whatever to me personally, because it doesn't change the mapping experience much but two things I find very disheartening:

1°) About the number of uses of unique tablets.

Irradiated unique tablets and boss unique tablets number of uses make sense and are perfectly fine but the others? A tower could affect 20+ maps with the tablets you slotted in and now they have only like 5 uses?
That's one hell of a random nerf no one asked for worthy of rants but I can grumpilly accept it. It greatly diminishes the interest and worth of said unique tablets if you can only use them 5 times considering the amount of maps you need to run to achieve anything. But, to be fair, that's a way to wee balance in unique tablets, it will make us use them much more purposefully.


BUT (and that's why I'm here)
2°) Transposing tablets requirements (aka 3 mods on a map to put 2, and 6 mods on a map to put 3)

It is a bit extreme imho. Lemme explain. Unless you are running a meme/ meta build made by someone else, you still encounter random blocks because RNG (a rare with the wrong combo of modifiers, the map layout working against you, the RNG aligning to be the perfet counter to whetever it is you play, I know, you know, we know). And that's mostly fine, we lose nothing but time, insert here praise about randomness as difficulty, stress of loss, you name it, that's fine.

You tried a 0 revive map on towers to stonk your tabletts, and could relax a bit on the others. Running with a 0 revive map was a choice.
Now it is required if you want three tablets.

It means that is the RNG of a map is like "nice try nerd", you loose everything. If it's a choice, then it's perfectly fine. But if it is mandatory to have the effects of three tablets, very less so.

Dying unexpectedly/ randomly to a thing you haven't even seen is part of the game, it's frustrating but ok. That being said, losing every stonks in the map bescause the RNG said so is... well not much fun?


My point is: the new system feels like you are encouraged to forego the very notion of revives if you want to stonk your maps which makes the harshness of the RNG all the more frustrating. The consequence will be that most people may just od 2 tablets and almost never do 3 because of that, leaving a constant feeling of "I could have more but the risk is not worth it".

PROPOSED SOLUTION:

Make the default number of tablets you can slot in as one.
You want more, you get to a tower, and do it with a 3 or 6 mods map, and it unlocks tablet slots for all map nodes in range.

It would give back some purpose to the towers outside of "irradiated unique placement slot + visibility on the map" and would completely nullify the big gripe I have with this update.


EDIT:
I didn't play a single map when I saw the changes and wanted to give feedback first, and now I'm reading from the people who tried out this mess and what the actual fuck? One would think all these changes should have been comunicated before implementation to avoid all this justified backlash? I can understand people not liking how towers worked but that's overoveroveroverovero correcting in a nutshell. Welp, guess I'll look for updates and will be out of PoE II till then.

Run the map fully juiced with 3 tablets and ur t16 waystone not killing the boss. then reopen and complete the map with a lower lower tier waystone. trade for high waystones.. rinse and repeat...
Fixes are good, but major overhaul should not have been done mid season.

For those that are playing mapping characters and not set for bossing with gear / skill tree have to make major shifts to just function. I understand the shift in towers and other mechanics, but to force people to fight bosses every map takes away from choice when you playing. If I knew this was coming, I would have built completely different or played a different class completely this season.

I know its early accesses, but this is really frustrating. I really like PoE2, I could play it different ways. Now I feel like I have to make a burst damage boss killer just to map.

Just feels bad

Also where are the rare markers, why take those out...was there even a reason?
Also my build is so bad so I was able to kill rares before and complete the map. Now I'm forced to kill boss, but I can't :(

Feeling kinda bad after update.
