Campaign Skip wouldn't be Needed if the Campaign is Broken Up in Maps

dude...no one cares what you have to say anymore seriously. You gotta let it go man. You literally spend 8-10 hours a day commenting in this forum. We all get it now. You like POE 1 more than POE 2 and are despertly trying to make POE 2 into 1. We also all know that you think ARPGS should require no mechanical skill so that means 99% of your complaints are based around you being super and I mean super bad at the game.

Log off, log onto POE 1, and just be happy man. Jesus

also...the campaign is literally just like maps. You go from 1 map to the next map and progress through the game that way. We get it. You like to zoom zoom around and watch tv while playing.

In this league I wont ever make it to end game. I haven't logged in for a week. I got to the end of act 4, lost to the boss a couple of times and waas looking at my time played and was over 40h. I also knew I had all the interludes left to play and was tired of slogging through 500 white packs to get to the bosses. By the end of the campaign I am tired of it. With Cruel at least I could just blast through it. But now I cant. I would love to play the endgame but as I consider replaying 60h campaign for a Father / Employed normie like me then I cant manage it. Since each act seems to take as long as all acts before it combined, this doesn't bode well for me.

But there is an alternative. Instead of starting maps after act 6 all you have to do is change it so maps start after Act 3. So what about acts 4 through 6? Its really easy, you break it up in the maps. Lets say a user hits level X, you gain a higher and higher chance of dropping a map that starts a short story that continues the campaign. Perhaps you find only one piece of the weapon then you play a bit longer and hit the second one and so on. Instead of one big campaign the campaign is broken up among maps. There should be some significant rewards to not skip the short stories. An easy way to make it compelling is add permanent bonuses that you get for defeating that short story.

In this manner the campaign can literally go on as long as you want.

I would combine this with a Delve like paradigm for progressing through the maps. Putting this in that context, when a user gets to that level then the chance of triggering the short story. The story should adjust to the level of the player so it is still challenging no matter what level you hit it at. The bosses should be juiced relative to level and power.

If we did this then the campaign would not be a problem.

I've gotta be honest, I hate this idea. It sounds like you just kind of have commitment issues or something.

The idea you have is legit just in the campaign already, "some significant rewards, add permanent bonuses"... Spirit.... Elemental resistance.... Defenses....? Hey maybe if we kill a side boss we can get 30-40 Spirit guys!

I just, yeah, idk man. If you're struggling to reach endgame and slogging through white packs in campaign, I think that the map mechanics would shove your head in a toilet and flush, brother.

If you want to zoom and breeze through campaign and that's what this is about, just play an actual strong league starter, the duration and difficulty of the campaign is QUITE LITERALLY optional. Play strong league starter, get some currency, get some twinky leveling gear, level with that, make the class and build you're more interested in.

Yeah and when you dig through some of his posts you start to realize that he is just really bad at the game and has zero mechanical skill and doesn't know how to make a build without following his favorite streamer.

I ALWAYS play SSF. I never follow any build guides prefering to play on my own even if less efficient. You are just a nasty person that lives to try and upset others. I have bad news for you though, you are just some random person on the internet and meaningless to my life. Your "peer pressure" or "shaming" don't affect me in the least. All they do is prove what a horrible person you are. When you want to argue actual facts and points come back. Until then /shrug ... thanks for the bump. Without trolls like you my threads would never get seen and clearly hey are being seen.

bye bye ... :)

Aww you were doing so well then had to undermine your position with ad-hominem attacks. Too bad.
terrible idea

id be open to an easy mode/hard mode for campaign tho

easy = 50% less density / 100% more exp
hard = what we have now

will still need a map shrink either way though

Every top tier build in POE2 since it came out has been "zoom zoom" as you put it. You dont want too zoom? Cool. You dont have to. Play off meta, put away your lightning arrow deadeye because ... i know your secret ... you are zooming also and pretending you are some pure slow plodder, lol.

This game isnt about slow tactical combat like elden ring. I can point you at 3 dozen games ... including elden ring ... that are like that.
Having to replay POE's tedious ahh campaign over and over and over and over and over is one of the primary turn-offs that keep sending me away from this game and into better hot messes like Diablo. The other being the woefully useless support team.
