Multistrike Skill Combinations?
even after the nerf, multistrike is one of the best supports for LS after WED & Faster Attacks.

" Even after the bugfix, you mean. I really wish they had not waited the week or two it took them to fix it since it gave people time to base builds around a bug and then get upset when the bug was squashed. And yes, MS+LS is quite good. |

" GGG specifically stated that it was a bug. It currently works as it was originally intended to work. Brutus. Do you even sync?

In my opinion it's good for 2 things:
1. Ranged/AoE attacks that don't move the character when used (with the exception of cyclone possibly). In this situation it's just acting as a DPS boost. Best for less-elemental-oriented builds since it boosts melee physical damage. - lightning strike, ground slam, cleave, sweep In my opinion it's not as great for lightning strike since the melee physical damage boost gained from leveling doesn't apply to it (the ranged projectiles, that is). Without the increased melee physical damage, it's a pretty small DPS boost, but with it it can be better than supports like added physical damage and faster attacks. 2. Things that are good to trigger on-hit, or have other limitations (flicker strike): - viper strike, flicker strike, double strike, cyclone (iffy), life gain on hit, blind, knockback, Thief's torment, (technically chance to flee and chance to ignite too, but particularly ignite is probably undesirable) In this situation it's abusing the faster attack (or more attacks/damage in flicker strike's case) from the skill specifically rather than just some DPS. For instance using life gain on hit with double strike and melee splash and multistrike will create a whirlwind-like multistrike without being forced to move to locations you don't want to go to) (Cleave would attack only half as fast as a melee-splashed double strike) Something to watch out for when using this skill is the fact that enemies' armor will become more effective vs multistrike attacks due to each hit being reduced by 40%, which is pretty huge. I haven't crunched the numbers, but I presume it's a pretty big deal and may make your character screen DPS deceivingly inaccurate if you're using it as a DPS booster. The other thing to watch out for is the huge problem if you use it with a movement skill like leap slam or flicker strike or cyclone; desyncs occur quite often, and as if that wasn't bad enough, the skills may oftentimes send you right into the middle of a huge/nasty pack of monsters (possibly even reflect monsters or something else nasty), which screws a person even more. My death toll from flickering with multistrike is through the roof. Fresh cakes for all occasions. It's still an amazing support with LS as you can see in my video.

For the record, videos aren't necessarily proof of much; especially if it's for a chraacter that's high level with good gear, such as a 6-linked item.
For lightning strike the DPS boost at level 20 is only 24%; it's better than nothing, but that's generally rather small compared to the increase added fire, faster attacks (depending on increased attack speed; you'd need at least +83% from passives), or increased weapon elemental damage would give. Logic/math can usually be a better indicator of the value of the support on a skill than personal interpretive accounts. Like I said, It can still be good/useful, but it loses a bunch of bonus damage. (57% increased dmg) Fresh cakes for all occasions. " You missed a multistrike gem there. Nice video though. CliveHowlitzer wrote:

" how is it a bug when GGG made the mistake? the gem clearly said 30% less melee damage. it was their mistake not a bug. and yes it was a nerf, not a fix. if it was a fix they wouldve made multistrike 30% less damage, not 40% less damage. IGN
