Suggestion: Adding a PvP System to Path of Exile 2
Dear Grinding Gear Games Team,
First of all, thank you for the amazing game you have created and for the continued support and feedback you provide to the community. I would like to suggest adding a PvP system to Path of Exile 2. I believe this would be a great addition to the game for several reasons: - Skill Testing: PvP would allow both character builds and player skills to be tested in a competitive environment. - Game Balance & Optimization: By introducing PvP, valuable insights could be gained on how different skills, items, and systems perform against each other. This would help refine balance and improve the overall game experience. - Replayability & Community Engagement: A PvP mode would add another layer of replayability, giving players new challenges and more ways to enjoy the game, while also fostering a stronger and more engaged community. I truly believe that implementing PvP would enrich the experience for many players and provide you with important data to continue improving the game. Thank you for your time and for considering this suggestion. Last bumped on Sep 4, 2025, 8:06:23 AM

Dear OP,
GGG can't even ballance PVE, do you have any hope that they would be able to something for PVP? |

"Path of Exile 2 should include a PvP system because it would deepen gameplay and strengthen community engagement. PvP not only provides a competitive space for testing builds and player skill but also gives developers valuable data to improve balance—something proven effective in other ARPGs like Diablo II, where dueling fostered a dedicated community and highlighted balance issues quickly. Importantly, PvP should be implemented without compromising PvE balance, ensuring both modes remain fun, fair, and rewarding.
I dont think PVP would be good considering how unbalanced everything is. It would also take away development time for a feature not many would use.

"I get where you’re coming from—Path of Exile has always been PvE-first, and balance in such a complex system is extremely difficult. But that’s also why PvP can actually be valuable rather than a waste of resources. Looking at Diablo II, for example, dueling wasn’t perfectly balanced either, but it still fostered a long-lasting competitive community that tested builds in ways PvE never could. That constant pressure point exposed balance issues faster, which in turn helped devs adjust mechanics for the broader game. Importantly, no one’s suggesting PvP should replace PvE or drain development time from it. A lightweight, opt-in PvP system could exist alongside PvE, giving players who want competition a place to engage while the majority continues focusing on the core ARPG loop. If implemented carefully—without tying rewards directly to PvP balance—it becomes a tool for community engagement and an additional avenue for build expression, not a distraction from the game’s main strengths.

PVP? No.
Also, do you really need an AI to make response for you? every comment you responded sounds like just copy pasting whatever the AI said after posting the comments of others. |

This seems like a bait/troll post, D4 has pvp and from what I saw of those areas while zooming through on a horse it was just a big money pit with nothing to show because PVP players tend to gravitate towards skill based games and not ones where a lucky RNG roll and a BS class with tons of CC or burst damage means you wipe the floor with 90% of the playerbase.
