$10 for something that will be free once it's out, not to mention that open beta is (ideally) going to be out soon is not only not expensive, but a non issue.
It's closed beta for a indy game development team that is not going to be making this game pay 2 win. In my my books, THAT is a win. I understand companies need to make money, but I am personally tired of games that are "COME ON IN, FREE!" then make you pay to get on any par with people who pay. Make it free to play, or charge a subscription, even if it's five dollars a month or less. The way this game is turning out to be from what I'm reading (and I hope that they do not change from this), it truly is free to play. If I get some better financial standing soon enough that I can give some more, I plan on it, depending on the continued support and community. $10 is nothing for early access. It's like paying an extra $20 bucks on a ticket for a concert to get you closer. I'm well aware that's a low number, but if you've got the money to go to a concert in the first place, you have at least some money you can part with for entertainment. I'm going to be trying this game for the first time today, and from all that I've read, I won't be disappointed. To borrow words from others who do respond, if someone really is trolling, however...
