Having similar issue here. Unable to progress as unable to place maps into Towers and use them.
I have 1 tower which despite having the path open will not allow a map to be placed, and another which will allow me to place a map, but then fails to open it. Because of this issue I am unable to properly progress though the end game. |

It feels like the connected nodes and the connections we see are different in some cases. I had a map that was inaccessible, but I noticed that a nearby map that wasn't connected to any maps I had completed was blue and I could run it. |

I have a whole region that tells me activation failed.
On the other hand I could open a map that was not connected in another buggy region... |
