DID YOU SERIOUSLY JUST BUFFED DEADEYE AND NOT WARRIORS?

First 60%+ of playerbase played Lightning Roa and now will play Deadeye... good job GGG

Why does Warrior get cucked all day long every patch?
Why do we have to equip a shield to play endgame?
I want to put a big weapon in each of my hands and go rampage and have fun...
Garbage vision

The ones who kept reading the updates to the patchnotes and banked on frenzies wont start deadeye. Thats so dead w/o enducharge conversion BS, its not even funny

Someone did math and its going to give you like 2% elemental damage reduction. Can't be sure about 2% but i think thats pretty close.

I think they meant the equivalent of 2% additional elemental resistance. They also assumed almost zero investment into armour and really large hits.

Dex chars need to only invest in evasion now.

Did you see the new formula lmao? It's almost like mandatory acrobatics now. Good luck investing into evasion at a league start.

I mean yeah warrior is in a pretty bad shape. But so are pure evasion classes.

I dunno, up to some point evasion builds were always fine. And acrobatics also provides a lot of value, you didnt die because of hits you could evade. You died because there were too many hits you couldnt evade.

But in the end: if defenses dont work you have to kill everything before it can kill you. And a melee class cannot avoid being hit. A lightning arrow build can probably kill nearly everything before it reaches you, so you need ranged builds with screenwide clear...

What do you mean??? They removed Acrobatics and giving it everybody for free: "Player Evasion now works on all hits except boss skills that have a red flash"

No downsides whatsoever. For free. No penalty. + you get deflection....

Please stop the comparison to warrior. Warrior doesn't even exist in the same universe as OP Deadeye this league...

If you have 10x the armour compared to the hit, it will reduce the damage by 50%. If you the same amount of armour as the hit itself, it will reduce the damage by 9%.

Evasion doesn't care about the size of the hit. This is why armour is considered inferior to all other defense mechanics.

If you go armour, you need to lean way in. It's not sufficient to just slap on some armour gear. You'll need more than +100% armour from the tree and other sources of flat armour.

You'll also want to get as close to 100% armor applies to elemental as possible.

Unfortunately those are points you could have spent on other things like strength (because we need life).

Evasion has a new formula. So e.g. for 80% avoidance you needed 10k and now need 28k. Or your avoidance went from 78 to 58% etc. So everything you could evade before now has about 100% more damage, but it is offset by so much more stuff now being avoidable

Well yeah but it's the same thing with evasion. You need to invest in deflect, and with the new changes you need to invest HEAVILY into evasion for it to be useful. Like, idk maybe on SC 60% tooltip avoidance is ok but on HC i'd rather have 80% tooltip armour which is approximately what you get with zero investment. It won't save you from heavy boss attacks but you won't die because a trash mob looked funnily at you, which is what you'll get with 60% avoidance.

Yeah it looks like it -- you'll need to focus some tree points into +eva and +deflect. Otherwise it'll be shit.
