I think Mercs loot was nerfed too much.

In the first days of the league You could have found some solid currency in them, but now? it's just transmutes or aug orbs.
Maybe things are different in uber-hyper-giga-turbo-ungodly-endgame-sweatlord tier maps, but everywhere else it's just FOMO combined with disappoitnment sprinkled with bs death from fighting merc. I do applaud GGG for nerfing mercs to (mostly) manageable levels... Just why did you take the loot aswell :/ Last bumped on Jul 6, 2025, 5:30:03 AM

" That's just pure luck and RNG bs and you know it. I never got a divine even when checking every merc. All they ever have is augments,transmutes,maybe 2x chisels or a regal orb. And some garbage scarabs. The rewards are trash and everyone knows it. Just because a few people get lucky doesn't mean the league is "rewarding". Its the opposite of that, on top of being overtuned and clearly not tested at all. |

" My renown was literally always at max. I almost never died to them because I'm a totem build that can just hide behind a wall and abuse game mechanics and terrain to make the mercs fight my minions and just afk till they die. I checked them all during campaign and the hundreds of maps I did during my challenge grind. Their loot is trash, this is an objective fact. The only people who get anything good out of them just get lucky that's all. |

I've found 4 divines, 1 from one, 3 from another. That's it. The rest of them have been mostly transmutes, alterations, maybe a couple chaos or vaal orbs. Nothing else of value. And I fight mercs in every map I go to. I farm T16 maps and haven't died to them in a long time.
So yeah, no, merc loot is terrible and getting amazing luck once or twice doesn't mean it's actually good. Mercs are great if you want allies, but they are terrible as a source of valuable drops. PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.
Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build! And the winds will cry / and many men will die / and all the waves will bow down / to the Loreley |

Make new char.
In a leagstarter I got 5 divines from mercs. Is second char - another 2. All in acts. But in maps.. this is completely different story. Seems there is buff in mercs currency loot in acts, but better gear in maps. |

Very weird. This is the league where I've found the most raw divines in like ever. 50, yes 50, and a good chunk were from mercs
