Cold River bricks my map whenever i die to the boss

i havent been able to complete a cold river map whenever i die to the boss, when i try to rejoin the map it just brings me back to the login screen (it doesnt consume a portal). this has both happened to Eagon maps and normal maps so far. there are no problems when i die outside (or dont die at all).

Do you place a portal before the boss arena?
