I don't understand it

I don't understand it. Every league the same shit over and over again. Is GGG actually incompetent, or are they doing it on purpose? Like some kind of running gag that there are always some damn problems at the start of every league?

GGG are not great at launches. There were probably 3 leagues where I can say it was smooth. The rest was kind of like this. 2-3 hours of troubleshooting. Its possible that the server company they hire is not as good.
It’s basically become a “don’t bother until 2 weeks into a league” game. 0.2 suffered these same issues, mega latency and instance crashes. Unplayable again.
unplayable indeed, constant freezes, so disappointed. with the hype of the announcement of all the new features, you would have expected a better server performance from GGG, so disappointed!!!
New patches and tons of people logging in (or trying) at the same time - things never go as planned.

I understand it quite clearly. Don't like it though.

They did mention it at patch notes.
"We are back"

What did u think they meant, lol.
Now concerning if it's on purpose, well the reality is, if you remove the crappy performance from GGG games, there's nothing there.
Can't think of a league in the past where a smooth launch was more important than it is this time around. Sad to see them spoiling the start of their "redemption league".

It's not a good look.
Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.
Every game I've played has trouble with new content releases.

That said I've had no freezes, crashes or logouts, trouble logging in, etc. Occasional brief stutter.

I upgraded my GTX 4060 driver as I couldn't log in yesterday without doing so, but no issues.

Much of this depends on your gateway server and the robustness of your ISP
Pretty sure it‘s a rushed league tbh, who knows when they started to work on this … probably just a few weeks ago around Dawn of the hunt release

It‘s kind of underwhelming ( for me anyways). As a passionate T17 hater my motivation dropped really hard after doing 2-3 of those „new“ influenced maps, they‘re completely stupid
It's not just GGG.
It's industry standard.
Every single company, like Blizzard, Ubisoft, EA, etc. have problems on game launches, where servers cannot handle the traffic.

We live in an age of infinite computing power, cheap and ultra fast storage, giga fast internet fibre connection, but still for some reason nobody can solve this issue. And it's not new, it's been happening since the beginning of online internet games.
I honestly don't know why it keeps happening, perhaps software side is the issue.
