Linux/Lutris Ubuntu cant start game after 3.26 update.
Apparently I found a fairly simple fix/workaround for me.
In Lutris its also directly possible to install Wine versions. At least one of them seems to work: wine-10.8-staging-tkg-ntsync-x86_64 Somehow I missed this button. Its also weird that none of the other versions (including newer one) worked. Whether this is useful for anybody else affected I dont know. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

Funnily just when I beat Hillock Ben beat Kitava A10.
Still working without issues on client side. EU Servers were very bad for quite some time though, nearly unplayable, constant instance crashes etc. Servers better now also. No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!

I think I found something. If you try to deinstall the standalone config on whisky, you get asked whether you want a removal or repair. I repaired it and started it up again, without actually deinstalling the program. it patched some 70 MB and said everything is a-okay. Next startup and the patcher seems to try and re-download the whole 45GB..... This patcher is completely broken.

For those still looking for solutions in my other thread somebody found another individual (not applicable for everybody, may or no may not work for you) one - this time for W10 users: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3789618/page/1#p26203342
