Upcoming Plans for Patch 0.2.1

Oh, look! Suddenly, having a tier system that makes sense and gives players usable information is no longer a technical impossibility and no longer ruins the game for everyone! Turns out that knowing whether items are good or not is a good thing, not a bad thing! Who would have thought! The insurmountable technical hurdle of reversing an ordered list of less of around 10 integers or less was somehow conquered, too! Now everything works almost as well as PoE1 did all these years! Rejoice! Yay!
When jumping to the favorite location of the map label, the required loading time is too long, or it may not load at all. Please troubleshoot and fix this serious problem. Thank you.

You know how long other games stay in EA, right?

You know that argument "game not released yet" and "it's EA" not an excuse for lack of patches and bad game design decisions? GGG aren't small indie as it was before, they have experience in more than 10+ years developing ARPG.
Not bad changes, glad you are doing something... but alas it is still not enough to bring players back. We need new content, new characters and a variety of builds. All this ^^^ heats up interest in the game and not a few new unique items.
Too much attention is given to the endgame.

showing some of the new uniques next week!

As I remember a long time ago in POE1 were some discussion regarding unique items. The problem was that 99% of all unique items in the game just a not usable trash and need to be rebalanced. But because it takes a lot of effort to balance a lot of uniques, if I'm not mistaken, that developers will be carefully adding unique items to not overload the game with trash.
I see the same problem in POE2 that not the 99% but more than 60-70% uniques are the same trash: unique cavalry spear, some hammers for leveling, some boots, amulets and other items. And it's quite often when a rare item would be stronger than unique one

Is it possible for now to postpone adding new unique items until we have like a build diversity? Or add unique items that add build diversity in the game, not lvl 22 hammer with 55% reduce attack speed and 20 physical damage?

If new unique would be the same as other - I would say that it's just a waste of time and money for designing/creating/testing/balancing because no one will use it.

Isn't it because Endgame is a main content in APRG where people spent 99% of their time and having fun? You could have some fun playing acts in POE, not gonna lie, but when you completing acts 2, 3, 4.....10 times it not fun anymore.

Some people don't want to complete acts even the second time in the league where they are playing.

I mean GGG couldn't create new acts each 3 months, I even couldn't remember any game that adding new campaign stories each 3-6 months.

But GGG could add some story-related content and new content in the endgame and they do it perfectly, as it was in POE1 as an example.

So how often you want patches? You understand that they still work on poe1, right? You understand that, while there are balancing patches, there is still 0.3 in the works, right? And when that comes, there will be more content needed to be balanced, right?

You understand that Rockstar games takes 10 years to develop a game, and they are more experienced, right?

Get off your high horse. If you don't want to play an EA game, don't play an EA game.
Looks gud

First of all, they weren't working on POE1 till 0.2 release (as GGG said by themselves)

Where is the balance that you are talking? They destroyed almost all the builds which were created by players in 0.1 and not added any new builds.
Where is new content in 0.2? Wisps from poe1, rogue exiles from poe1, spears that were existed 5 years ago already? I understanding that it still takes time to remake game mechanics, test it before implementation in the game (wisps weren't tested at all)

I'm just do not understand where all the balancing patches are talking, where is balance, where is something? I saw release 0.2 before weekends, radio silence regarding drop rates, nerfs, still don't saw any improvements regarding build diversity that players want so much

Don't care. Not a valid argument. POE1 league were released each 3 months before, so GGG create in 1.5 months more content than for POE2 in 6 months

First, it's not an EA game because developers said that they taking care of the game as is already released game. So, why shouldn't I providing the feedback for the game as it released?

Also, the quantity of patches (1 patch in 2-3 weeks) is a joke as for game in EA.

The second, in game development "EA" flag doesn't make anything, it doesn't make bad game better or whatsoever, it's not an excuse to not fixing core mechanics or builds diversity or drops, or other things that were working before.

It's also not an excuse for bad solutions in game design, saying "relax, game is in EA, play when it will be released" is worse than providing negative feedback and it's not a good thing for game in EA.
When people providing feedback: negative, positive, neutral - it very important for the game in EA, because it's game in EA, so developers could recheck their solutions and make new conclusion, you understand? I hope so

When something is not builded yet - you could ask to fix it or change it because later it could impossible to recover the game.

We all love GGG, we all expecting to see how POE2 will be the second greatest ARPG after POE1 ofc. But without negative feedback it would became another D3 or D4, I don't want it

FYI: atlas routes and paths are still bugged, the main core mechanic in the endgame. The whole atlas could be bugged for some other players and they could stuck in starter zone or their discovered atlas could be covered by fog because of bug. And it's not existing like 2 days, 2 weeks, it's not working from the game release, for 6 month. How much, in your opinion they needed to fix it?
