You've made the monsters too slow, too weak.
I've just finished Act 1-3 with both warrior and witch, 10% mov speed boots maximum.

I can EASILY avoid any monsters and pick my fights.
I feel no sense of danger, because mobs has been made so stupidly slow that there is no reason to fight them to protect myself, I only fight them when I want to.
I avoid all whites and only farm rare/packs.
This is no longer action RPG, its like a farming simulator harvesting wheat field. No danger.

Please stop listening to whiny streamers who just want to rush through the game, they are not making you game better.

They didn't nerf the movespeed of all monsters, just the faster ones along with some running/walking mechanics and pack variety in certain areas.
Combat in the campaign is not optinal since you still need to level up so you don't lose out on xp in maps.
Ultimately I'd say the change was good, especially for newer players.
POE in any flavour is NOT a 1 and done game!!!!

It is made to replayed every 3 months, and many new builds/characters made

Can you imagine (you need to project to the future here) but can you imagine having a grueling campaign every single time a new league comes out

And dont forget many of us like to experiement with other builds, so slogging through a demorilising campaign would not get them many players

POE has never been just the campaign!!!
POE starts at end game, always has and in this format always will

Part of why the campaign is awful is how slow characters are, the lack of traversal skills, the size of zones even with a trimming, and now having monsters engage less makes things feel even more baron. Its like so many little things all working in conjunction to make campaign, and waystone progression awful. Thats why its called balance, there should be a balance of being able to actually traverse through the zone and not want to commit suicide, but also have to engage with monsters. I think GGG can improve massively on this, I dont even think they are close to getting this right (as someone who has a shit load of poe1 hours, interaction with monsters in poe1 is also non-existent). Its just that poe1 is more fun to just blast monsters so it almost distracts you from the issue.

GGG should moving forward "require" that devs actually play the live game for testing and not a test server, and give their workers the ability to work overtime. I bet Jonathan is actually hitting himself for saying that he removed the ability for his employees to take overtime lmao. Especially with 0.2 being their product after he said that comment too.

just wait to see a litle from the endgame and we talk again....
Yeah well get ready to complain even more because 3 more acts are coming. I'm willing to bet people that complain about no movement abilities would probably complain if there was none of them in PoE1 or no Enigma/Teleport in Diablo2, is that really a complain tho to not have these? or we're just looking to add 10-20% baseline movement speed?

No, one of the many, many problems with POE2 is that the game does not teach you how to play the game. Acts 1-3 in no way represents how the game plays once you reach maps. The only thing Acts 1-3 accomplish is showing you how long, boring, and fubar the zone layouts are, how bad the item drops are, how bad the skill gem system is, and that what is touted as crafting is nothing but gambling. The monster combat, not representative at all.
Why do you think Jonathan is right? In this game, if players don't kill monsters, they will not get any benefits. Even if players escape from monsters, they will just give up this part of benefits. I think it is wrong to force players to fight. If you think it is enough for players to get benefits just by killing elite monsters, GGG can consider adding hidden points and include white, elite and legendary monsters in the calculation.

I think the fight needs to be sometimes taken to me. If its me in 100% who engages in combat because it suits me, I feel no danger at all, because I can just run away from any possible threat.

Jonathan was very much against slowing monsters down and he was right.
Combat shouldn't be optional.
And the LAST thing that PoE2 needs are movement skills. Even blink is absolutely OP and should be removed from the game, along with shield charge and leap, which are used for traversing more than for the combat.

Combat shouldn't be optional in campaign.

Endgame is different, there we have more reasons to kill monsters, but we can still run away pretty much at any time.
