" same here.. no one i know wants to come back to the game and none of them is having any hope of GGG making poe 2 actually good ... we see the patches and the "fixes" which are basically telling us they are not willing to fix what is bad but they are willing to make it just a tiny bit less shit .. maps too large? dont worry we got checkpoints for you and more and more checkpoints as many as you want ... well guess what i dont want to need checkpoints !!!! loot system is bad? dont worry we will keep the loot system but just give you an illusion that more stuff drops but they are all useless and come with more issues like rarity you guys dont like to prepare towers? dont worry we will make like it looks better but in reality you still need to be slave for towers and stack 3 over lapping towers with 9 specific mods over lapping tablets.. all for you. ehh everything about this game.. is so bad Last edited by NoyAvargel#6918 on May 13, 2025, 6:26:05 AM

" The mentality of "Don't like it ? Don't buy it" is extremely dangerous and already proven to be financially dangerous. Concord, AC Shadow, Dustborn, the DEI woke slop games have that sentiment. If GGG trying to capture new audience with PoE 2 that is completely different than PoE 1 audience, then for sure they can do it. Whether it will be a financial success when the game releases and years after that with league releases cycle, that is remain to be seen. But shielding GGG behind "Early Access" , "Don't like it ? Don't play it" its not the way. Especially when GGG is no longer a small company and should be held in high standard. They have a decade of experience when developing PoE 1, and to completely botch every lessons from that, EVEN THOUGH PoE 2 took PoE 1 core design foundation, is really mind boggling. Its fine if PoE 2 is actually completely different than PoE 1, but its not. |

I just don't really see an alternative. PoE 1 feels abandoned by devs, I also think PoE 2 brought many improvements, even though so much stuff is still worse, I kind of still have hope in the future, I just think it might take another 2 years to fix.
Maybe they share the same destiny as Blizzard - they make the new game bad, a new studio arise and take their players. I just don't see the new studio yet. I didn't like Last Epoch that much, I loved Grim Dawn, but I played it too much already. D4 no comment, it was fun for a while, not anymore. What else there is. After 0.1 I even came back to an old Might and Magic series :-D. In my oppinion, PoE 2 has a huge potential to be the greatest ARPG game ever, and I still want to believe in GGG making it, I'll just keep posting my suggestions on forums and reddits hoping it changes something :). I refuse to give up just yet. But seeing people with 40 supporter badges giving up on them, that is definitely worrying. |

" This is what I wish more people saw. I'm a brand new player to ARPGs. I brought 15 players with me to PoE2 in 0.1. Of the 16 people only one still plays. I may not have 40 supporter badges. However, people are quitting the game. And of the 16 players I think maybe 3 will actually try full release, the rest were so disgusted with the .2.0 patch and the fact it's failures that took away the fun they were having weren't addressed or reassured quickly.... that they won't be coming back. I'm one of the three and I'd say me coming back for 1.0 is a 50/50 depedning on future patch notes. Cuz I'll be real. If the patch notes don't include solving the gatcha problem and the game being boring as hell now I really am not interested in trying it. I also think it's crazy how toxic the people who support recent changes are to people that disagree. Even in this thread there's the "this game isn't for you, leave" crowd. That will never make a successful game. True elitism and pushing away a new player base will doom your game. The community elitism alone has me closer to not trying patch 1.0 than anything else.
