Almost 1k hours. Good bye

The title says it all. I love Poe 1 and gave Poe 2 a really good go. Frankly GGG, your vision for this game sucks. So many other posts explain why in words I don't want to spend the time to write.

Your next patch won't save a thing. You need to cut ties with whatever exec or team is calling the shots and go wayyyyy back to the drawing board. Your customers are the ones that you're making this for and if WE don't like it... we will leave. Like me. Right now. Like more than 90% of the player base has so far.

There was a lot of promise. I'm stubborn. I stuck around to see what changes you'll make to make it better. You're just... not. It's going further downhill. You keep doubling down on the bad.

Deleting all toons and uninstalling.

Hope you get it and turn it around.

Its just sad that the game has lost over 90% of its players and yet it keeps tripling down on The Vision TM.
Honestly, moving on to a new game was the best choice I made. Been loving expedition 33. They actually know how to make a game.

I just check the forums every now and then to see if sentiment has somehow drastically recovered to the point that maybe they fixed some stuff.

Same here, I went with No Rest For The Wicked. Feels like a Souls ARPG game that actually works. Looking at Expedition 33 too. POE2 just gets less fun the more I lvl up, should be the opposite

Another good company to look at is Bandai Namco.

They recently had a HUGE disaster of a patch with Season2.
Harada and the other project leads have been handling all the backlash way better.

Explaining why and how things went wrong, how they plan to avoid repeating the mistakes in the future, ect ect. ( T8S2 was caused by a new balance team, and internal miscommunication. The opposite of what's going on with PoE2 )

You know, at the end of the day Bamco is actually listening to their customers.
( Even if that is taking longer than I'd like )

Where as GGG is just doubling down on their flawed vision. Telling us that we are wrong, and the things we hate are actually good. It starting to feel like Blizzard. That's not a good thing.

----

Its Early Access, I was excited for them to just throw a ton of wild crazy shit at the wall just to see what would stick. Instead they've been treating it like a full release, and EVERYTHING has slowed down to a crawl. Nothing is happening. Even PoE1 has missed like 2-3 leagues. It's embarrassing.
+1 to OP

Exiles are very divided, which is normal, what my opinion is doesnt matter to others. But even moron politicians understand that there are issues that everyone agrees on.

E.g. If you remove exp loss on death then its not a POE game.

Who the F*&^ comes up with that crap, this is not POE 1 and this is supposed to be early access testing phase for release (TEST IT, players will tell you).

Why wouldnt they create multiple instances of servers (same database backup) and try what the community is asking to get feedback. Buy more cores or what ever you need it should be an opex (business forecast for your size company is pretty basic).

Fuck in my projects i need the client to verify its what they are expecting.

Guess what happens when you give your clients something they dont want?

YES Exiles we are the clients in the literal sense.

E.g. Here is a server with your old monk build back, now compare the amazon spear and the monk, is it what you like or too crazy.

Sorry if some of my words seem logical ffs.

If testing is what you require allow the players to do this for you.

I knew something was off when you created a false league and instantly copied over the old instance (server). This made all clients expeirence something they might not have wanted. GGG even stated in an interview that this is "not something we normally do" then why? You must have found something really off with the code, we have all tried to hide things from our clients.

"quick fix it before they see"

I dont want POE 1 i think its relying on outdated psychological tactics which just dont work on the target audience that makes you money, which morons refer to as "casual gamers" (F#@$ stupid labels for everything now).

Have fun ya crazy exiles.

P.S

I am a Dog and i will just drop my load and leave on to the next post.

Radio silence doesn't help either, honestly so done with poe2.
It feels like a downgrade comparing to poe1 in every single way, even visually. Yes poe1 looks better to me, not to mention it performs better...poe2 has atrocious optimization.
I dunno what GGG were thinking, good reputation from the past can only help you for so long, eventually even the most loyal fans will be fed up and simply quit, just like once a huge diablo2 playerbase did with diablo3 and 4.

a)
What do you mean "keeps tripling down?" We have had literally one content patch since EA released. One. How have they tripled down when they haven't even had an opportunity to double down?

b)
No players have been "lost." A bunch of people checked out the first EA build and a lot of them decided to wait for the full release before playing. There's nothing sad or even surprising about this. It's how most EA releases go -- a lot of people bought into the Baldur's Gate 3 EA in 2020 and then never played it again until 2023 when it released.

Most people don't want to play unfinished games. That's really genuinely fine and nothing for anyone to worry about. When PoE2 1.0 is approaching GGG will start spending the massive reserve of cash they banked with the EA release on a marketing push that will undoubtedly bring a huge portion of these "lost" players back.

You have two reasonable options at this point: be patient with the current state of the game (messy, unpolished, incomplete) and provide feedback that will help shape the eventual release, or don't -- join the majority of players and wait for 1.0 to release and see if you like the game then.

That's it -- this scenario many of you seem to be concocting in your head where the current player numbers somehow lead to a major reorganization at GGG and a massive shift in the design direction for the game is just a dead end. It's just not going to happen.

Hope you get it and turn it around.

- Atlas must be deleted. It's the most horrible design I've ever seen.

- Campaign must be shorter 5-6 hours max.

- Crafting from POE 1 must be ported over (I do not trust Jonathan to design new crafting without it being horrific)

- Every single league mechanic must become significantly more rewarding in all aspects and respects, including how much fun I have while doing it.

- GGG should be legally held to what they said they were going to give us (Patch 4.0, not POE 2) -- we paid years for a bold faced lie. This shouldn't even be legally allowed.

You do know that not every game is for everyone? Lots of people love fortnite, should would i go on their forum and tell them how bad the game is and how horrible their idea are because I personally dont like it?

They said from the start, they want to make a game they enjoy playing themselves. So if you dont like that, just go play something else.

If only you could give more feedback than "it's not poe1" and "i dont like that".

Keep crying.
