0.2g and planned new Strongbox "quality of life" is SO tone deaf

That's literally targeted at consoles

Remember "console version will not affect main game"

Then 3 flasks were removed, because hard to use on consoles (official info)

PoE2 is full console game, since like you've said there is no problems with clicking alchemy from inventory on PC

Could have been better handled? Sure. But to expect people to be meticulous about the mundane, is a tad pedantic, and out of touch. :)

Remmember, the User isn't stupid. The User is drunk. Even if not literally so, the attention span of someone using digital products, is often comparable to someone who's drunk.

This is a battle-tested UI principle, here:

You wasted 5 mins because you:
Arent carrying the consumables you need while mapping
Didnt know you cant alch a magic item

You then wasted exalts on a strongbox with useless affixes.

And the poor result of this is somehow someone elses fault?

I see zero problems as a keyboard/mouse player in that being added and I'm really grateful that flask piano has finally gone away. Actually I'm only playing poe2 because it is finally gone.
The point to unnecessary inventory clutter is keeping you in game longer so they can show investors that they need more money.
It's GGGreed

It has gone from PoE1 long ago though

What exactly is the purpose of forcing people to use up extremely limited inventory space, or portal out to go grab them?

Friction is fun. GGG thinks players need to be grinded on these inconveniences to make the game fun, like having a miniscule inventory that is deliberately designed to not match the shape of the items you pick up half the time, and not giving you a sort button so you have to manually arrange items.

It's fun! Yay!

GGG is not out of touch with the playerbase. They're out of touch with reality.

So your advocating for unlimited inventory space or what?

Have you stopped to consider why no rpg games (afaik) have unlimited inventory?
Might be worth considering, could be an eye opener.

Both Last Epoch and Diablo IV have infinite inventory for consumables (such as keys, crafting items etc).

Although PoE will never do it because Currency Stash Tab wouldn't sell as good.

Should allow to use alchemies from stash on the map.

1. Having unlimited inventory for keys isnt the same has having unlimited inventory.

2. Ok so you can buy diablo 4 for 60$ and have unlimited currency space, or you can buy a stash tab for 5$ and have unlimited currency space in poe2.
Your comparison is not looking so well.
Im getting a carpal tunnel issue from all the diff minute clicking adjustments necessary in this game. It is far worse than any other aRPG Ive played in that regard. Would be nice if currency autolooted like gold. If it is purely a consideration for multiplayer meh.

Same with splinters...wish there was not so much to click when simple run over currency/splinters/scraps etc should be seen as a majorly welcome QoL feature.

I'm not on console but play with a gamepad on PC. It's already extremely easy to use currency on strongboxes. You just walk up to it, hold down your interact button and your inventory opens, then move to currency in your inventory. You can't select anything else, only currency. It's simple.

If I was using mouse and keyboard, the new QOL would be really helpful because you can just click an icon on the screen without having to open your inventory and look for it and then click.

Gamers are finding literally anything to complain about for no reason.
