Idea for campaign skip.

Or maybe they can make the campaign less tedious and better integrated with the eventual endgame?

Do people really want to run waystones from lvl 1 -> all goals complete/stopped playing?

yes i dont understand why anyone would want 30 hours campain
+1

The pure boredom of campaign is the only thing stopping me from trying out builds and forcing me to only play 1 character per league. It just sucks. Would be nice to have a skip in both games, because even if I speedrun it in 4 hours in PoE 1 with all the prepared gear its still so boooooooooooooooring.

i have a better solution.

issue with making new chars is, people do not wanna play lvl1-6x again.

the campaign itself isn't the issue here... its the low levels.

i propose a new char that starts at lvl60, but has to complete the campaign but from lvl60.

so itll be something like from lvl60-75 for the entire campaign, and people need to hunt for points and important rewards. with this, at least drops wont be completely useless like lvl1-10 useless.

at least people wont feel that bad anymore with useless low tier rewards.

there's of course the issue of bots speedrunning this with rewards.... dont have an exact solution for this being the only problem

No the problem is the campaign itself. Your idea would work as a NG+ option for people who really enjoy grinding the campaign. But it wouldn't fix anything for people who get sick and tired of playing the same singleplayer game over and over and over again.

No waystones need to get into a campaign map, you could put a waystone if you want to, but if not the map would be just scaled to your level. No waystone sustainability? Don't worry, just make some of your preferred campaign maps and let them drop waystones for your current level.

Optional campaign, but there are many passives you wanna get, there's bosses you can farm, there's some good maps you wanna repeat.

At the moment the campaign is all the oposite: never wanna repeat, just wanna pass by faster as possible, boring because you already know what is has to offer, and on top of that is so long that just thinking to make a new char makes me take the agenda and check to reserve the whole week.

I agree repeating the campaign isn't much fun, but I don't see how what you described is better. Level scaling content usually makes every level feel the same with no push/pull over who is stronger, the player or the monster. Personally, I don't like that.

You say you never want to repeat the campaign, but also suggest making the campaign more repeatable by farming specific areas/bosses.

Also don't think it would be considered optional if it still had 24 passive points and the other permanent buffs from quests.

What you described offers more player agency, which is good, but in games focused on farming/grinding that can easily become; "which map gives the most xp/hr? I'm gonna spam that one 5000x- but not for the fun of it." (Eg, D4 at release)
"Beidat honored the pact, though Mancy wouldn't take off Doryani’s prototype."

TL:DR - start maps at end of normal difficulty and add mappable hell difficulty with juicy bosses.

----------------------------

You got a point there. We won't be willing to repeat campaign maps... back in d2 days we ain't got anything else. Now on PD2 there's maps just like in poe2 and that's what people mostly do. Other than that nightmare/hell bosses are still farmed.
To put a translation to here, they should add a hell dificulty that lasts up to lvl 90. Those could be farmed in search for waystone shortage solving and for unique drops, as some uniques are reserved to some bosses in d2 that could be added here in form of "this boss is known for high % dropping that unique".

But that will only make the problem worse. The fact that maps open at cruel act 3 end is the one that's bothering. Maps should open on start of cruel diff. Then people will have the choice to start mapping or continue campaign.
Adding juicy hell bosses, people are gonna be incentivized to do the campaign but not forced to.

So you're right, "mapping" the campaign (add option to insert waystone) doesn't solve the problem but adds more options, which is good anyways. If a lvl 90 hell juicy boss is added a huge waystone that boss would become lvl 125 which is a good challenge for a grinded char.
Once slog removed by open maps at end of normal diff, then yea add hell dif and mappable campaign too... only hell campaign mappable, no need to go back to normal/cruel.
