Campaign Maps are still to much searching and kinda boring

I think the Deadend problem is huge. Maps do not make sense.

I would love it to be like halani gates for example. The general direction is clear and exploring sideways is rewarding.

I think maps should make sense and sideways should be for rewarding stuff.

Like go side obv. side way for optional stuff.

Make it somewhat clear in wich direction u would have to go to get to the next chapter boss objective etc
Just make the dead ends and exploration rewarding. Add encounters or mechanics to these areas that actually make you excited amd incentivized to explore. If you got a good chunk of XP, currency, or loot from these areas, it would feel good. This problem is exacerbated by the lack of movement speed and traversal skills.

Deadends are part of the Issue yes. As you said the other issue is Map Diversity. More Maps in Campaign as Halani. Its a Campaign, but it feels mor like you are playing Endgame at a snails Pace. Because on most Maps youre simply searching for the Boss or your objective.

In the Endgame you are simply doing the same stuff. Searching your Objectives. But in the Endgame you have Loot, you have progression, you get currency while in the Campaign you normally dont get that a lot. So its way more boring.

I think they are working on some of it, but i think huge parts of the Campaign need reworks. I sadly have to say it, but the Campaign is not good.
You the options for actual escort missions (yes i know people hate those), you have the options for defensive type Quests. Where you have to defend a post against enemies. Why isnt your enemy attacking your Caravan in Act 2 for example and your job is to help defend it. That would be a very good quest. And would break the SEARCH THIS SEARCH that type Quests, cause that is what you do 95% of the time in the campaign you are searching your objective. If your game would at least tell you where you objectives are my god that would drastically improve the Campaign.

They could be improved, but they are pretty easy to navigate. Generally you just have to followed the edge, some maps it's better to go clockwise other counter clockwise.

Could be improved for sure, but I feel like there are more pressing issues. Like crafting, defense, or endgame still a being boring.

I have a different Opinion. You want your players to play the Campaign every time a new league drops. So the Campaign must be well done. That includes the story, the quests, the crafting, the areas etc.

It should be the highest priority

You can use checkpoints to move around the map if you hit a dead end.

There's usually white and blue monsters in areas where there are "no rares"

Absolutely irrelevant. Mobs in Campaign are almost completely irrelevant besides their EXP. And even that is mostly negligible unless u fall very far behind and it damages your exp gain.

And Checkpoints are a bandaid on a festering wound. They are not a solution. Deadends that have zero purpose are absolutely dumb. The only thing they do is frustrate the players and keep them longer in an area.

Checkpoints dont exist to help you discover a map. They help you when you discovered the map not while doing it.

I'm in favor of campaign skip after the first char.

Game Core and Fun: Building char, killing/looting, spending/trading - progressing in bosses and endgame.

Campaign: Running around completing quests without any skip or reward FOR 12 HOURS, EVERY TIME you want a new character.

Its even longer than 12 Hours. It also depends on what armor you wear. Heavy slows you down more.

Speedrunners can do the first acts in 2 Hours no problem, but they are so underleveled at that point that they would have to go back and level for 3 more hours and do certain side quests. Which means around 12 Hours is around the best time someone can achieve on an SSF character.

A normal Person would probably need 20+ Hours to complete the Campaign. The average player should theoretically be able to copmplete the campaign in a day. Which should be around 12 Hours. Yes i know the average palyer does not play that much, but i mean theoretically. 20+ Hours in a day is absolutely unrealistic.

Then fighting Monsters in the Campaign is honestly just boring.

The Campaign has basically no purpose for experienced players. And being stuck in the Campaign for around 20 Hours is shit.
Value the Players TIME
