Everyone is going back to PoE 2 now.
" majority of poe 2 using steam because they have all their games in 1 place. id say its probably the case for poe 1 aswell but in poe 1 probably more % of players using standalone compared to poe 2 because many of us started to play before steam was popular .. and many of us are dedicated poe 1 players who dont play many games.. |

"We have a comment about it from Chris, but that's about PoE1. With PoE2, we got a couple of new ppl who are not aware why the standalone client is the better choice. So it's probably 50/50 now. [Removed by Support]

" By definition the market sets the value of an item, not some arbitrary number in your head on what you think it should be work. If the items doesn’t sell at the price you list it, and you have to reduce it, the real problem is you didn’t know the value of the item when you first listed it. |

"You say this while LE, Diablo 4 which are the most casual ARPG out right now with some popularity sits at fewer numbers than POE 2 with a bad patch out. Last edited by xpose#1651 on May 2, 2025, 11:01:29 AM

Any thoughts on how this patch will affect economy?
Will prices increase because it seems currency drops more often? Will prices decrease as items drop improved? Will prices stay the same? (excess currency will go into craft, plus no point to ask more for items since everyone is geared) Have you seen similar things in POE1? |

" Having all your games in one place is also true if it’s on your PC, without Steam. Only GGG have the actual numbers but every PC player I know (which isn’t a huge number by any means) play standalone. You obviously don’t. " So far Divines have increased in exalt cost, I suspect as time passes this will settle down to near to pre G patch levels or close to (as divines in PoE1 tend to inflate with time anyhow, but they also have more use in PoE1, in PoE2 they do little more than act as an exalt investment). " Seems reasonable, personally I would not install Steam unless it was for a Steam only game and I was actively playing it (otherwise it would be uninstalled). (ALL typos lack of caps, punctuation and general errors are copyright Timbo Industries - Laziness Division)

Nothing is changed.
The game still has vision, the game still too slow. |

No, not everyone is coming back to POE2. Before the 0.2g patch active player count was approximately 60K. After patch the 60K went to about 66K. Give it a day or so for the influx of loot testing players to quit again, player count will fall again.
POE1 private league launch had about the same effect. Before lauch was about 5.5K active players. Now it's 10.5K players. Which of POE1 or POE2 will lose the influx of 5K players faster, POE2. Edit... and keep in mind, POE2 influx numbers are pretty much all inclusive Steam Numbers. POE1 steam numbers are far lower than actual. POE1 numbers DO NOT include China nor Standalone game clients. POE2, includes China and their are far more POE2 steam users than POE1 steam users. In other words, POE1 private league launch most likely beat the 0.2g patch influx.
