Everyone is going back to PoE 2 now.

What crack is OP smoking? Steam charts say the "peak" for the past 7 days was just over 84k which was on the 27th. This patch hasn't changed anything in any meaningful manner, it's a band-aid fix to try and keep the people still playing interested.

one that add more issues.. if you ask me.. mainly if you dont use rarity on gear its mainly more junk that drops rather than actual loot.

and what little extra you get the ones who minmax loot gets that 500x so in reality while the avrage player may find abit more loot now. . the avrage player is actually more poor than before
Most of players will return when they make game as normie as possible and casual friendly as casuals are the highest amount of players and hard games - can't earn that much player base. Hard games inspired by souls likes will never be a mainstream - and to get the player base and change it from mainstream casual arpg player that just want to explode everything to enjoy the souls- inspired combat - they need to make manifesto about the future of the game

So if they want to stick to casuals and normies to earn money im out.

sorry to break it to you but i dont think the majority of players will return or will play this game long term unless GGG completely change direction basically throw away most of the stuff in this game and rebuild it to be an actual ARPG more like poe 1.. at the current direction and vision for the game i do not see the majority of players ever returning. .. maybe to check out new patch and explore abit but just like 0.2 quit very quickly because the game is maybe ok to explore its just not fun to play

after you explored everything and you got your build going the game is simply not fun to make you just want to go out and kill monsters just for fun
To me the biggest improvement was in the ground loot of rare items I actually wanted to look at that might be good. Of course the tiered items were all GARBAGE but they could have been good.

In terms of currency when you don't juice at all while you'll see more "magic" currency you can go entire maps without a hint of seeing rare currency.

As for Delirium rewards I noticed a sharp uptick there. I had a pretty bad delirium run and still got more drops than I would have pre-patch.

*********************************************

I assume (as before) if you don't juice everything you can you still won't get the same level of rewards as PoE1, Alch & GO (w/ regex), good atlas passives + scarabs, and blasting maps like mad.

NOTE: I'm not an uber juicer but I assume that those people should be getting a LOAD of higher tier currencies.

Also note: I didn't play enough maps to really know for sure as I get bored with what PoE2 asks you to do (take trash path to towers, optimal layouts in tablets, finding towers and planning optimal overlaps, etc.) in addition to everything else you had to do in PoE1

It's what i told - and game should NOT CHANGE DIRECTION FOR MAJORITY. and define the new category of souls-aprg like no rest for the wicked is doing

as majority of arpg players are casuals - and want only power-power-power and nothing meaningful. The aRPG genre is filled only with casuals and players who just want to trivalize everything without trying and be over-stimulated by combat and loot.

and that's what im saying - they should focus on souls-part of player base and leave the zoomers for poe 1 and make manifesto to entirely remove the casuals - making manifesto about slowing game, decreasing loot, reworking itemisation, making itemisation also meaninful and not null as it's most null itemisation in arpg/hns games, even more null than D4 or 20y arpgs. , and more. As now it's just bad game in everything and casuals will make this game just copy of poe 1 what it's now.

i bilion % disagree with you. . i think this is awful both for players and for GGG income. . i think current poe 2 is 100% garbage game not worth playing and i think it should 100% flip direction ASAP or give up on poe 2 entirely and go back to focus on poe 1 and make it expansion to poe 1 with visual. you are 0.00001% minority that wants that you like no rest for the wicked? thats great just go play that.. . you like soul games like elden ring? thats awesome man go play that.. .

Loot changes is pretty apparent now, people better not complain or they can return to Diablo4.

My only complaint rn is that I did one run of sekhemas and ended up with a literal entire stash tab full of jewels.

Took me 3 times as long to sort through them, craft on them and reforge the trash ones than it did to run sekhemas to begin with.

I should probably create a regex to more quickly sift through them I guess.

Why lie like this?

It's 8:30am EST and just on steam alone there are almost 60k players. I'm willing to bet it'll be closer to 100k, perhaps more, on steam alone later tonight.

what are you smoking? you are the one who clearly lies.. . its 57k now and the 24h peak is 61 no where close to 100k, and 61k are just 25% left of the league start players. and only like 10% of the 580k that came to check the game.. and even now people are just exploring the changes to loot and they will quit very soon again.. you are clearly the one lying
has anyone ever figured out the ratio of people playing on steam vs standalone? I have no idea why you would use steam and have extra processes running if you don't have to. This was a common complaint with LE, being forced to play steam.
The look changes are a great step forward—truly. But we have to talk about the state of build diversity.

Nerfing the whole archetype instead of the actual outliers feels… excessive. A little life on the tree, meaningful defenses for everyone—that would go a long way.

And yes, I hear the “skill issue” crowd warming up. I’ll give credit where it’s due, but between latency and optimization quirks, surviving an offscreen cannon shot through a half-covered doorway shouldn’t feel like a raid boss mechanic.

Please. Let us adjust. Let us live. o.o
