Updates on Bluesky not only twitter please

Addressing the OP. I don't see an issue with cross posting updates and stuff, but I personally would prefer if things on this website were also improved.

EVERY social media website is flooded with bots and propaganda. The "fake factions" just tend to be skewed differently depending on the site. It's just a hidden in plain sight problem of the modern age. If you don't notice them then it's because you aren't paying attention to the ones you agree with.

There was literally just an event people were covering where Germany was using Ai bots to manipulate redditors in an experiment. It was pretty effective against them since reddit tends to be a super tribal echo chamber.

All social media websites turn into self made echo chambers naturally due to how algorithms work. Echo chambers make people have distorted views on reality. If you don't actively interact with things you don't agree with you WILL end up in an echo chamber online.

Basically, I can guarantee if you prefer only using 1 media website due to bots and propaganda then you probably fell for different bots and propaganda to a certain extent. Even if you don't care to have an opinion about things, the internet wants you to have an opinion about things.

I think Bluesky is one of the platforms that gained some momentum during the Twitter drama about forced licensing of all your Twitter posts and media for AI training.

I don't think the drama lasted long because there was an opt-out or something like that, but yeah I've seen some relatively well-known Japanese artists (primarily animators and illustrators) set up shop on Blusky, although most of them still maintain a Twitter presence due to the unmatched reach Twitter offers.

Personally, I feel ALL announcements should get a place on the official forum or home page. Nothing should be SNS-only, no matter what platform it is.

3.5 million daily users, compared to X's 230 million. Some technical and scientific fields have moved almost fully off of X. I basically need a Bluesky account for work, even though I barely post there, and I don't need an X account. Sports teams and other large draws are on X; it's mostly the nerds (and people with political disagreements with Musk) who have left.

Re: the OP: sure, it'd be nice if GGG joined Bluesky. I'd probably follow them.

Agree with this post. More social media is good.

Anyone here who is complaining about Bluesky is just arguing in bad faith. Bluesky still has millions of active users on a daily basis.
