All of my buddies quit after the patch (a couple went to that other popular ARPG) and here I am at three in the morning reloading the game over and over. Something must be wrong with me. My wife is going to wonder why I look like a zombie when she wakes me up at 7:30.

I had one friend who played a minion class and his build got nurfed into the ground and he was using top tier gear. I can't believe how hard minion classes got hit when they weren't even that great to begin with. That was a big hammer that was brought down on us all.

Yeah, many people left when their meta build, copied from a youtuber, could no longer destroy everything instantly without them having to lift a finger. Not a care in the world.
People like your friends seem like they just want extremely fast paced action, a lot of explosions and pre-made builds.
In early access, basically a beta, there will be scaling and balancing adjustments made. Its like people thought their 1st character was going to last forever? You had to start a new character for the new league anyways. Why would he care what gear he had in standard?
