Everybody STOP! Put down the common sense and slowly back away. Rational business processes and reasonable solutions don't go around here, or anywhere, just about.
"There's never time to do it right, but there's always time to do it over" would sum up a lot of our complaints about this debacle. The current trend in software development is bastardized versions of unqualified Agile/Scrum or DevOps teams throwing alpha-quality code at customers and calling it an update. The gaming industry has notoriously been a leader in this field for decades, but the rest of the corporate world is trying to play catch-up. That becomes a real problem when your product is trains, planes, or automobiles. So at least GGG isn't endangering lives. But that doesn't make it right. Early Access or not, if you want high quality customers, produce a high quality experience. |
